Is that right ? I thought I heard Leach say that before the game.

2nd to last in Division 1 shooting percentage on Free Throws. How is that possible. He said he used to shoot 70% on FT. How could he regress like that ?

Not sure but when Hawkins comes back Briscoe needs to have his minutes cut in half. I honestly don't believe we would have beat UL if Briscoe were playing and Hawkins was out. His FT and outside shooting are killing us. He needs to get single digit minutes until he pulls his average up to at least 60%.

Hawkins had one game where he hit a few threes and that is your basis for him starting over Briscoe , who gets to the basket better than anyone we have . He is also one of our best defenders , Hawkins is a great defender but a liability on offense . Briscoes offensive contribution makes up for any free throws missed , he creates for others with his penetration as well . What you are suggesting will never happen .

Unfortunately, we need Briscoe's defense and toughness. And he plays hard and with passion, which is something you can only say about a handful on this team. It's just a very flawed team, and he's not cut out to be a wing, but like I said, without him and Tyler on the floor, this might be the softest team in the history of college basketball.

All that being said, there truly is no defense for his free throw shooting. It's almost impossible for a guard to be that bad. And that's not hyperbole; I'm not sure Tyler would miss 7 out of every 10 free throws if he was blindfolded.

Not sure where people come up with this stuff. Briscoe def has his flaws and limitations, but he is an integral part of this team. No one is starting over him, and for all of the good reasons you mentioned.

Someone doesn't know his a$$ from a hole in the ground and that someone is:

You do realize that Briscoe is at least top three on the team in scoring, assist, rebounds, steals, and last I checked fg%?

Not to mention, his on ball defense, his toughness on a team that's full of soft players, the pressure he puts on the other team's defense when always attacking the rim, and fouls he draws on them are all very good things as well.

How is that possible? Have you been watching? His free throws go "CLANK" when he shoots.

I cringe when Bricoe gets fouled. Have we ever had a guard that shoots worse free throws? I can't tell if it is mechanics or just confidence.

You are absolutely insane. Seriously. If you don't understand what he brings to the table, you know nothing about basketball.
