Wondering how the young DL is progressing? UK's pretty deep in the DL but thought this player may be able to contribute as a true freshman. Anybody with any word on Robinson?

Probably not. As deep as UK is in the DL Robinson likely won't be listed but that doesn't mean he won't play or is not progressing. He could be used for a handful of plays in a certain package.

Seems like he was third string at DT? Haven't heard anything specific but I guess if he is on the depth chart he may be doing pretty good.

Why would he enter portal? UK'll have multiple DL leave after season thru graduation, Walker to NFL, etc. Massive PT for Robinson here in '25.

A lot of veteran guys ahead of him that have contributed. He will see snaps this year though.

I agree with your premise, but I no longer pretend to know the answer for most kids to the question, "Why would he enter portal?"

Some explanations are easy w/ playing time (as you referenced). However, NIL money has changed everything, so even with NIL at UK, if another team is willing to gamble on even an uproven kid and pay a lot more???

I'm not saying the coaches should be held captive if players demand, "give me ____, or I will transfer". However, I think coaches understand there is just no guarantee that any player will be on the roster next year much less 2 or 3.
