A 247 insider said they reaffirmed theit commitment to UM. An ON3 insider said it was true that they told the coaches that but that he didn't believe them. He said he was expecting them to visit UK this fall. Prob gonna drag out
Has been pointed out also that Marrow is their recruiter. With him there is always a chance .
This whole scenario with the Smith twins reminds me of the Damian Harris charade.
It is important and beneficial for them to keep UK and fans hoping and groping.....
Hope like heck I am misreading the situation with them.
I almost wonder if they didn't start flirting with UK to help their chances of becoming eligible at Corbin. We'll see.
Harris liked UK, but I don't think they ever had a shot. I knew several coaches at MS and they never at any point believed he would go to UK. I asked the week of his commitment and they said he was goimg to Bama. Not saying that is the twins but you never know. I was starting to buy into the flip hype. We will get a better feel over the coming weeks.

There has been nothing that has been talked about. He had his 1st game 2 weeks ago and barely played.
Not sure how recruiting rules work but Corbin dedicates its newly revonatived Stadium on Sept 15th with a game vs Fredick Douglas. The CATS play at home the following Sat. night vs Akron. Wondering if The Big Dog might be there for the game?
Corbin’s Hear Football Coach; told us. They would be no flip. Everyone bashed him and got upset. Maybe he knew something we didn’t about the situation!! IDK 🤷🏻♂️. They get eligible to play in KY and now their confirming their commitment to Michigan?
This going to keep going on till Dec. Even of they flip it could end up like WanDale. Hard to remembet but he either committed or was about to commit and it changed to UK. Only to flip to UN at the end. All we can do is watch it play out
But nowadays it might be the second go round that we get these guys. So UK has to stay engaged regardless.
Talked to a guy this weekend that saw them play and he said they are both the real deal.
Not real sure. Someone posted a link. It was in the 2nd half and the announcer mentioned him and that he was supposed to really help them but hadn't played much. I seen another poster commenting that they he barely played. Possibly since he had just gotten there. Picking up a new scheme. Idk what he did this week.
The thing about them not coming if ineligible was an assumption from inside the program that if they left the state again. It would be difficult to get them back here. If they stayed in Corbin UK could stay om top of their recruitment. It was never them saying that. Read from another source yesterday that UK still as a very good shot They said the Michigan affirmation was more the twins telling them they were still committed and had not been committed. They still think it will happen

I remembwr when Damien Harris was committed to UM. Stoops went to a MS I think it was a practice and Jon Clark told him if he was there to see Damien he was at the wrong place. Lol. He said he wanted to watch the other players and jon asked which one and he didn't know any other ones. Some coaches are different
Well the coach’s tweet about no flip makes a little more sense now. Certainly doesn’t mean we’re out of it though.
Don't be silly folks, the twins new high school coach who they met 5 minutes ago has zero say in this matter. They've known the Mich coaches and Kentucky coaches recruiting them for years.

Based on circumstantial information, one would have to believe the twins' commitment to MI is soft and they could conceivably end up anywhere on their finalist list (and maybe a few other programs, if this drags out). For weeks I have felt like their recruitment will stretch into the fall. But the fact that they just reaffirmed their commitments to MI is not inconsequential. It means they are still listening and responding to Harbaugh. This is still a much more difficult situation for Vince Marrow than their recent relocation to Corbin suggests as an isolated factor. The twins may not even be on the same page with one another, and it is a treacheous game to try to predict what will happen.
And given all that is going on on Brian Robinson's life, I would say largely the same about him.
UK may score with one or more of these guys, but we could easily whiff too. Recruiting is among the least predictable of all human behaviors. But I trust our coaches and am confident we will sign another solid class either way.
I don't see how it helps us at all. Harbaugh's penalty will be resolved very quickly, and won't deprive the team of its coordinators or position coaches in any case. These guys are looking ahead over several years. Some people may disagree with me, but I think these guys will end up signing where they are most comfortable because it usually works that way. Wherever they go, they will get paid.
So, do you think that if Harbough bolts for the NFL next season, that it won’t effect these kids’ decisions????

Well, then, why ask the question when you are so certain that you already know the answer? FWIW, any coach anywhere can leave at anytime. If the premise is that UK's chances to sign these players is increasing because of what Harbaugh might or might not do in the future, I don't think so. These kids and their families are aware of all this. That didn't stop the twins from committing to MI and then reaffirming after they relocated to Corbin.
As for Robinson, where is the evidence that he is currently considering MI? I haven't seen it. I know Harbaugh wants him, but that is not news.
In either case, I believe Coach Marrow is doing his best to make up ground. But Lorenzo Cowan and Amontrae Bradford will be here for their OVs on Sept. 8, which tells me that Marrow knows he has a pretty good chance to whiff on Robinson and the twins. But if we somehow get them, then the reasons won't matter.
It's important to understand that whiffing is always a potentiality. Don't get me wrong, I would really like to get the twins and I would LOVE to get Robinson; but I hate it when I read any particular recruit is a "must get" - I just don't think you can approach recruiting with that zero-sum, all-or-nothing mentality. It's not healthy, realistic, or accurate. You try to get the best players who fit our program's culture, and if you miss, you shake it off and move on the next potential recruit that can help the most. And you're right, there are so many variables in what a high school kid decides - it is so unpredictable and can come down to so many things out of our coaches' control.
Well said. Especially this part. There really is no such thing as a must-get recruit. People obviously have the right to go to college where they want to, as long as they can get admitted. Football is a team sport.
Just to add to the 'must get' thought, we have had some pretty highly starred kids that didn't pan out, and some undervalued guys excel.
