I really don’t understand why this kid would want to transfer. He has the potential to be a really good player.
He outta hereHe also restricted comments on the post
If Brandon decides transfer I would go all in for Stokes..If he is leaving, that will open it up for a LEGIT stretch 4. Hopefully the Spaniard will come back to the states and Coach Pope can get him signed.
I’m pretty certain it’s because of Quaintance.I really don’t understand why this kid would want to transfer.
Man, I hate to pile on but I agree. He wasn’t my favorite. I support all Wildcats but he didn’t have me exactly pumped when I thought he’d be the starting centerGoodbye! That's a guy that will leave and I won't care at all. Drove me crazy watching him never want to pass unless it was absolutely necessary. He will be replaced with a better option, and really already has but we will get another for depth.
It’s hard to build a roster now. You never know from one year to the next who’s going to stick around.I’m pretty certain it’s because of Quaintance.
He thought he was just entitled to the starting spot after Amari leaves. No fair expecting him to compete for it.
If he was THAT dude though, Pope wouldn’t have recruited over him. I’m all for continuity but if you see a guy isn’t good enough, you do what’s best for the team. I support BG doing what’s best for him whatever that means going forward. We are missing a stretch four and now we can get one.Hate it. He was frustrating at times bc he’s so raw but he has the size, athleticism, and potential to have been a major contributor the next 2 years with just slight ball handling improvements and learning to use his body on the glass and post defense a little better.
But that’s the world we live in now, you lose a guy like that, they go play somewhere else for a year and make those improvements and then re-transfer back to another semi step up program…instead of looking 1 year ahead at thwit current program
Do we even have a shot at signing him?If Brandon decides transfer I would go all in for Stokes..
Stokes most likely will not be an option in the state of Kentucky if the rumors are to be believed. Won’t say what it is but there are some pretty heavy rumors that will have him go play outside the state of Ky if trueDo we even have a shot at signing him?
Haven't seen a list of schools he has interest in since he announced he would not be participating in AAU ball this summer.
Also, has he even said that he was for sure reclassifying to play this upcoming season yet?
Too many unpaid speeding tickets?Stokes most likely will not be an option in the state of Kentucky if the rumors are to be believed. Won’t say what it is but there are some pretty heavy rumors that will have him go play outside the state of Ky if true
I won’t spread unverified rumors/gossip.Too many speeding tickets?
Yeah kind of a conundrum. Great athleticism and skills that with more polish could be great, but not strong around the basket at all on either end and when leaned on could not separate to get the ball off the glass or defend that well. In todays game you have to have that ability or a big.Hate it. He was frustrating at times bc he’s so raw but he has the size, athleticism, and potential to have been a major contributor the next 2 years with just slight ball handling improvements and learning to use his body on the glass and post defense a little better.

i haven’t seen anyone who said anything about it is set in stone. Quote them? This is a big loss, any player you lose with tournament experience is significant. Also I don’t know why people think it’s set in stone that the Spaniard kid is coming here. Have to wait and see
If we sign another starter at SG, I'll legitimately be worried about losing JJ!That's why it's hard to build a legit roster in today's game, the players don't want depth, they want to be the MAN, though if they get injured, fatigued, what have you, there's no one on the pine to be ready to step up, crazy. He's leaving because of the JQ signing, not looking at the big picture, it would help his situation as well, he would improve. He's not playing in the NBA, IMO, though he could do great overseas.
I have give up.I won’t spread unverified rumors/gossip.
I’ll just say it’s something kind of serious and if true I expect he won’t be playing for UK or UL
Eh, I was just joking.I won’t spread unverified rumors/gossip.

That is the frustration of this new era. You simply can’t assume anyone is a multi-year player anymore no matter how much eligibility they theoretically have when they get here.I recall, when Brandon committed last year, thinking the coolest part was that he had three more years of eligibility and thus wasn’t just one of those year rentals.
How naive was I?
Bummer that's going to be the tough part about recruiting "multiple year" kids.
I for one aren't terribly upset with him leaving. Just means we can find a better player in the portal.
Onto the next UK is accustomed to one n done players after all.
