Brandon Garrison will transfer?

Garrison would be the guy next year why would he transfer? Moreno isn’t going to be ready imo.

I’m thinking the same with Kerr. I doubt Lewis or Jasper beat out a 6th year senior. Hell Kerr was our leading assist guy when he was healthy. Even if they did Haven’t we learned our lesson yet? I don’t want to go into the tournament with freshmen guards only.

We are signing a pg n the portal.

I think alot of people are selling Lewis short. I think he and Johnson both start with either Oweh or Ament or another portal SF PF and C. I would love to see Noah Williamson from Bucknell hit the portal and end up here. 7 footer that can score in multiple ways and very good ball handler for his size.

Everyone is on a one year deal now. Garrison was brought into be the #2 Big and he’s done ok. Pope will likely play Moreno more to keep him happy, as he’s on a one year deal too. Makes sense to go somewhere he will play more.

Same with Kerr, came in to be the #2 PG, got hurt. Likely won’t be the #1 next year, so get your last bag and be featured.

Is this something that Brandon posted and deleted? If not, how did the person tweeting about this know about it? Sounds like Brandon is a problem if this kind of conversation is happening at this point in the season, if true.
I’m definitely not condemning anyone based on some rando tweet. Maybe after he leaves then we can discuss it.

He can’t afford to not play him now. We have no bodies.
It is blessing that there are only 1 major injury on our frontcourt players. If two frontcourt injures, we are already done this season. Remember we have 8 guys can play wings or guards, but only have 4 true frontcourt players.

I hope Garrison stays, but will not be too disappointed if he leaves. The guy cannot rebound, and his defense is just so-so. We need someone as big as him who’s a warrior on the glass and who can play a role similar to what Williams does today. Who knows, maybe Pope tweaks the offense to fit whoever the #1 Big is next year.
He will be better as a Junior than he is as a Sophomore

I would think any big that thinks they can handle the ball and pass would be chomping at the bit to play for Pope after seeing what Williams has done lately.

It’s odd if true about some speculation, but this programs deals with things other high profile programs don’t have too deal with. For one Kerr can see from this year he will get to play a lot no matter who’s here. As for Garrison, we have one big signed that is not going to beat him out. If he were to leave it would be because he does not buy in to what Pope is doing. His NIL deal is more here than it would be anywhere else and he would be more relevant here than anywhere else. Most of the other top teams have 3 decent big men and 3 decent subs on the front line that don’t worry about the things that come up here.
I don’t see how you can say “ his NIL DEAL is more here than it would be anywhere else “.

NIL and transfer portal. I got news for people too. OO is gonna want a raise too to stay here. Pony up.

Yep. Basketball got off easy so far. Now they see the football model of going in the portal every year is paying off.

Welcome to modern college basketball and football.

If Garrison is a 4 next year we won’t make the tournament.lol
How so? What can Carr do this year Garrison can’t?

Not saying it’s ideal but I’ll be the first to say I hope BG stays. Even if it’s a backup roll. The more guys that come back the better. As long as Pope wants him back.

Matt Jones was hinting yesterday that Kerr may transfer to Saint John’s. I would hate to see that as I think our fanbase really appreciates Kerr and deserves to see him for a full season. Not sure what his reasoning would be either, as he has spoken glowingly of UK since coming here.
I hope he stays, but it could come down to the dollars!
