Just checked and it’s Brandon Garrison time.
My concern too, DraftCat. Difficult to see what he’s good at. He’s okay at a few things and I don’t see a star in the making. Hoping I’m wrongMy question is how does Garrison get better?
He won'r ever be a shot blocker so his defense on the ball must improve. Can he improve his 3 point % again I can't see his back to back game improving and he's not really a lob threat.
I agree with this. I always liked Richard’s and could easily see the potential, luckily we got to see it his junior year.I feel about Brandon Garrison the same way I felt about Nick Richards when the consensus was to write him off -- and for the same reason:
I always looked at Nick Richards' 'highlights reel' which were very impressive, and felt like if he can do that occasionally, he can do it fairly frequently with more concentration and with a huge commitment to get in his best physical shape so that fatigue isn't his enemy. His senior year he did that.
I feel that same way about Brandon Garrison. His ceiling is pretty high. He just has to reach it more often.
Name one person who has said anything like that. The same people that have given up on Garrison believe Noah will develop into Larry Bird 2.0.
He won’t ever be a shot blocker- false. At Oklahoma State averaged more than one a game. There are kinks and different things you can do to become a better shooter and be better for what the team needs. Negative people, really get off on negativity.
Depends on who your 4 is.Brandon Garrison as a starting center next season doesn't give me much hope.
I hate to be blunt but I will anyway, he’s just not good. He’s not the answer for our team that’s for sure. Why would anybody on here want Brandon gone he will be a junior next year we need to build from within. And fill In slots when needed we are not Arkansas
Also, just because someone passes him the ball doesn’t mean he is required to shoot it.Let’s hope he figures out that he is supposed to know where the ball is even when he does not have it and that when no one has it he should attempt to get it.
I regret that I can have but one likeI listened to poster after poster cry and whine for YEARS that Cal never kept and developed any of his players. Now we have a coach trying to do that and your pissin and moaning about that .What a crock of horse 🍎
He’s fine at the top of the key but he is not supposed to watch rebounds bounce right in front of him and let plays happen two feet away while he is looking in the wrong direction. Not many quality bigs in the portal. If you get Yaxel and have 3 big physical guards that takes a lot of pressure off BG. We tried to use him like Williams last year and that is not him.
Just the very few that should be playing for Bellarmine.Wait. Some of you all want to run players off that are willing to come back? I thought we wanted more hold overs?
I don't know man it seems most of our fans love crapping on Noah too. I don't like most of our fans, well, the ones on here anyway. The same people that have given up on Garrison believe Noah will develop into Larry Bird 2.0.
Exactly. He didn't exactly play enough minutes to know what he can do. He had some nice games, won a couple for us. he had some bad games. BUT, it is hard not knowing game in and fame out when and how much you are going to play.He won’t ever be a shot blocker- false. At Oklahoma State averaged more than one a game. There are kinks and different things you can do to become a better shooter and be better for what the team needs. Negative people, really get off on negativity.
I agree 100%. He did some things last year, that not many big men can do. He just has to put it all together. No reason he can’t progress towards that next season.Hoping he comes back for a Junior season and make the necessary improvements in his 2nd year at UK. We saw some glimpses, just have to put it together for a sustained run. I will be happy to have him return next year. We wanted players to stay longer than a year after years of watching those leave early whether they were ready or not.
It’s amazing to me we have fans that are on this board every day, watch every game on television, and know absolutely nothing about basketball. Just mind blowing. And yes, I agree with youLets see if I am keeping score correct. Most want to keep and feel Noah and Perry will improve / be stars, but do not want a guy who actually won some games for us this year, not to come back, he sucks ? Do I have that right ? LOL, I get amazed at all of the armchair coaching / talent evaluators from people who never played the game at any level above Upward Bound.
3” space between his ears is his dullest tool.I believe Garrison will have a big year. He has all the tools to be successful.
Since you obviously know him so well...get me a signed jersey, please.3” space between his ears is his dullest tool.
