Bradshaw

Dunk Fail GIF

I've been on this board a long time. Lurked since the inception of it. And in all that time, I've always been amused at the posts during a game that's going on that come back to look even more funny than when it was started.

I dunno, call me crazy, but if a guy misses every shot and loses every rebound and NEARLY fouls out, turns it over every single time he touches the basketball, and if the COACH has him in the game at the end, and he MAKES WHAT TURNS OUT TO BE THE GAME WINNING SHOT.....

Then, by gawd, I'm a happy fan, and happy for the guy to redeem himself, even if it's like, the smallest of margins.

Good lord, Bradshaw hit the game winner.

I said before the game, I'd take a 1 point win then and there.

We won .... by 2.

Count me happy.

And for those fans that squirm with unease or are angry that he hit the shot so we could win ..... please.... just go do something else that you can get enjoyment out of life over. Life is too damned short.

Go Big Blue !

You can be all that and still have a discussion on a message where you voice your opinion that prob isnt the shot we want with the game on the line .. I dont think he should ever .. ever take a 3 .. because he shouldn't be out at the line anyway .. JMHO

Sure, I understand. And that's cool. Maybe I see it a little differently though, and may I express why?

How many times have we seen our players under Cal turn down an open shot, or any shot at all, late in a game, because coach took the air out of the ball. The kid took it, and made it. Maybe not the best decision, but he made it.

good enough for me.

He finished big time, but didn't have a great game. Happy to give him more time, and glad he plays well at times.

That said, he doesn't play smart at the end. Yes, the three went in, but no coach wants that shot at that moment. Also, this is the second game that I can think of that AB held the ball so HE could shoot FTs at the end of a close game. Folks, those aren't team first winning plays. Cal has to get that fixed.
Apparently you don’t know much about Aaron. He has a 3 pt shot it’s not Oscar shooting it, this kid can stroke it. Yes coach is happy with a wide open 3.

Yeah Cal needs to fix winning games lol. Those are team first winning plays, you’re wrong.

I also like his free throw confidence, we must be watching different games lol
Look, I like his confidence. I love that. But you know AB chucking a 3 or stepping to the line with a min on the clock will never be Kentucky's best option. Just because it happened to work once, doesn't mean that's what you ideally want. He misses either of those opportunities and you'd be singing a different tune. In fact, this board would've melted down had that 3 not gone in.

Cal said on post game that he ran the pin down and 3 for Aaron and also the out of bounds play for Aaron so….Coach called the plays for him and not sure why you can’t see that.

It was a wide open shot,in rhythm, in a tie game. I was fine with it.

I would have preferred he didn’t hold the ball to get fouled with 35 seconds left. Glad he knocked down one shot. Also glad we kept the ball in Reed’s hands after that.

Well, if Cal said it.

We're just going to disagree. I'm happy the shot went and we got a very nice win. I'm simply saying I think there's better options in those two scenarios. It's ok to disagree.

Big Blue fans are the undisputed kings of in game hot takes that end up looking totally stupid. Fortunately, UK has guys like DJ, Dillingham, and Bradshaw that don’t give a crap what some delusional UK fans think about them and just play ball.
There was nothing stupid about the post at all. Glad AB stepped up today when he did but he still has a long way to go. Had not shown up during Louisville, Illinois state or first 35 minutes today. Has been playing very timid and weak. Today’s blocked shot (while huge when it came) was his 3rd in last 3 games during 57 minutes of game action.

Now, now..don't be talking negative about any of our players..There are experts on this board that will call you out and call you names..like..well you know..

Bradshaw did make a big shot and played very well down the stretch but to say he will be a NBA first round pick is crazy

Well he was wide open, but he was wide open for a reason. I will have to see a lot more from Bradshaw before I want him consistently taking that shot with the game on the line. I mean we have one of the best guard groups in the nation.

Right. He has played in a grand total of like 6 games and but maybe, just maybe, his coach has seen him hit that exact shot countless times in practice.

but you should see more….

This is the most Cats illustrated post ever!!!

Guy makes multiple game winning plays in his what, third game in college and people on here bash him before even half time of his first SEC road game.

Just absolutely unbelievable…but 100% believable.

How is saying it’s hard to see him as a first round draft pick next year bashing? He was MIA in the first half and getting abused just about everywhere on the floor. Posters made observations about hoping we would get more from him, again not bashing. Cal postgame yesterday commented how horrific bradshaws play in the first half was. Ok for cal to “bash” the kid for his first half play but not ok for posters on a freaking sports message board not discuss a big part of their team. You damn people are ridiculous!!!!!

Good and bad about his play today. But I love the fact that he had the nads to even take that shot. I love it even more that he made it. Many here wanted Cal to play 5 out and now every team in the country will be bringing out their big guy to honor Bradshaw's shot. Win, win if you ask me.

He’s currently 9-17. I like his confidence but I like others abilities to actually make them when the games on the line. Until he gets that % up he should do all he can to not be on the line in those situations, not openly invite the other team to send him there. They gladly will.

Well I participated in the thread early on so if I wasn’t part of the group you were alluding to, who were your comments meant for? I don’t think I saw anyone actually just bash AB, other than to say his play was not really up to par and that he was really struggling.
There is nothing about his game at the moment that screams next level. Hes not even competing at this level. Very timid and weak and very unorthodox in just about everything he does.

Yeah, got to love using loaded words like "chucking" for a wide open, set 3 off an assist that was clearly what we were intending to get.

He's 3/5 on the year. Not "ONCE."

You have no idea what Z will give us. Bradshaw and Ugo need time, people forget how far behind they are right now too.
This. It's RIDICULOUS to act like we know what Z will do.

Some people forget that Bradshaw and Ugo have been out for a while. "He don't look like no draft pick to me!!!"

In regards to people saying he doesn't look like he's ready for the NBA--he's not. But as we say EVERY. SINGLE. SEASON. The NBA drafts on potential. Bradshaw oozes it. A 7 footer with an insane reach. He made an open 2. He made the go ahead 3.

I know some people on here think they know better than the NBA--but I assure you the NBA likes what they're seeing with this kid after having been out for months.

He was wide open for a reason. It's just not the "he can't shoot" reason. He's shooting 60% from 3 on the season. It's a limited sample size, but he also doesn't just chuck up 3's.

He was wide open because the offense was working. We put 3 point shooters out there to spread the floor. They wouldn't leave the 3 point shooters down the stretch, so we drove it down the paint. We kept doing that until they decided to stop the drive. Then Bradshaw wound up wide open. Bradshaw can make that.

It won't be my favorite option or 1st choice. But it was good basketball.
