Bradshaw is the biggest liability

Agree been saying it for weeks now 5 to 8 minutes a game
There is zero argument anyone can make that will convince me that Z should not be getting everyone of Bradshaws minutes. Z has def struggled on defense, but so has Bradshaw and Z’s offensive ability is light years better.
Bradshaw was fine last game. Not gonna say he's great, but he's not always terrible, and always seems to bring effort.
That block he made, I mean I get you wanna swat the shit outta it but no way that guy makes that layup. And the swat put it right into their guys hands. He coulda just waited for board or lightly tapped it to himself.

I wouldn't have believed it two weeks ago but I think Bradshaw will have no choice but to consider coming back next year. Outward appearances seem to show he's happy here so I wouldn't think transfer portal

You've gotta love the kid's attitude...even though he was ineffective in limited play tonight, it didn't affect his bench demeanor. He was also celebrating harder than the walk-ons as they were going into the locker room area
I didn’t expect anything out of AB tonight I knew the game would be too physical. I like the kid, he tries and I’ve seen him on the floor after loose balls. I don’t blame him that he was overrated.
If he works on his body more maybe he'll be able to make some big strides. At his current build he's just too weak physically.
He only played 30 secs. That guys All American level and has done the sane to Ugo plenty tonight.

I have to believe, even as connected to UK as he is, that Reed is gone. Unless his goal is to go #1 by returning, he's high enough now there is no reason to come back.
Everything else is plausible to me. I was concerned Thiero would leave in the transfer portal but he's getting the time on the court and isn't playing behind anyone over some BS 5 star favoritism, so kudos to Cal on that at least.

Z had 18pts and 10 rebs in his last 23 mins he's played 2 previous games. In those games Ugos had 5pts 8 rebs in 32 mins.
He played good tonight. I have no problem saying it. I guess you've never been frustrated with a player and posted about it.

You spent that much time digging my post up from the past week or so. When he was playing big mins and getting 3pts and 2rebs I was frustrated with him. He's looking better. I'm glad.
Totally agree. I sat behind the bench at Vanderbilt. Bradshaw and Wagner were cheering the team on for 40 minutes. Bradshaw's personality shows nothing but positivity.
Ugo’s defense, rim protection, and rebounding are huge reasons for our better defense.
Z will have better pro career, but the college game is currently too physical for both Z and Bradshaw. Trying to work those guys into the rotation (though necessary) messed with our flow and rotations for 3-4 weeks.
Most everyone can see Z’s potential, but potential is a word often used when there is little production. He can thrive against other non-physical bigs. But, he and Bradshaw get pushed around when they’re playing against grown men.
Z and Bradshaw combining for 5-8 mins a game is going to be their contribution for now. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Z have another sensational game somewhere in one of the tournaments.
However, Ugo is the foundational piece for solid defense moving ahead. He’s intimidating players in the paint!

I can show you about 30 seconds of of some of the worst basketball I’ve ever seen from one player. Would that bolster the argument?
It was obvious Pearl was going to have Broome take Z to basket every time Z was in the game. Cal quickly got him out.
I wish Z could have gotten the full summer practices. Few freshmen can begin mid season and contribute much. It just didn’t happen.
Ugo made huge jump between year 1 and 2. A lot of it is just getting their bodies ready. Z
Bottom line is that mins this week will be the norm moving ahead. Cal will not spend more time tinkering with lineups.
I can see a scenario where Z goes crazy in a tournament game. But the SEC is not the place for big soft euro kids

In all seriousness, he best attribute right now is his passion for the team when on the bench. I think he loves his bros and just wants to win. I appreciate that passion.
I was in Denver for a game in ‘15 and watched Jokic his rookie year. He looked like another soft Euro player who would just camp out on the perimeter. He quickly turned into a beast.
Z may well turn into a dominant player. He has GREAT feel for the game and can wow fans with both his passing and shooting. Unfortunately, many college bigs can abuse him on defense. Broome would’ve scored 30 points on Z.
NBA will give Z space and time to develop his defense while he adds much needed weight and strength. (Plus, the league doesn’t play a lot of D!)
We can’t hide him and Bradshaw until they get their bodies right and learn to move their feet. It’ll happen for both of them. It just won’t happen in a UK uniform.
Ugo will get 28-32 mins a game moving forward.
Seems like a great kid w a great personality but he’s #3 on the depth chart at C and is just so far behind. He’d likely have a great year 2 after adding 20lbs but we will never see that
