If you follow the bracket matrix guys on Twitter, they post more frequent updates than you'll see on Bracketmatrix.com. With the results of Tuesday/Wednesday, it looks like most have us as a 3 seed, though I've seen a few have us as a 2 seed.

1 Seeds: Auburn, Duke, Iowa State, and Likely UT at the moment
2 seeds: Alabama and Marquette for sure

Other teams close to us: Oregon, Kansas, Florida, Ole Miss, Michigan State

If we beat Alabama, I think that catapults us to a definitive 2 seed regardless of other results.

Leaving out the obvious blow out games:

Auburn plays @ Georgia. They may get a pass, but I'm still rooting for them to lose
Purdue @ Oregon. Oregon is right in front of or right behind us depending on who you ask.
UT @ Vandy: SEC Road games are just brutal this year, hope Vandy can knock off the dirty Vols
Iowa State @WVU: I think Iowa State coats, but I'll be rooting for WVU.
Ole Miss @ MSU. Ole Miss is closer to us in the bracketology and they're undefeated in SEC play.

I'm guessing you meant Duke instead of Kansas on the 1 line.

Maybe it's too early to start this but i was looking at the net rankings after last night's results....how? it's every year where teams get overvalued and using the same metric others are undervalued.

This the top 16. I don't think anyone aruges that Auburn, Tennesee, Iowa St and Florida belong up there based on their wins. But how is Duke, Houston Kansas and Gonzaga where they are?

Duke 5-2 in Quad 1 and 0-0 in Quad 2. Similar to Kentucky but they are 6-3 in Quad 1 and have head to head.
Gonzaga and Houston have losing records for Quad 1. Houston is 0-3 in Quad 1. And Kentucky has head to head over Gonzaga.

Just looking at the Q1 and Q2 lines if we are putting value for those teams then why wouldn't Ole Miss and Marquette be higher?

Duke is going to walk to a 1 seed because of the garbage ACC. They won't move down. Gonzaga will likely only move up with their garbage conference.

At least Kansas and Houston play some respectable opponents going forward.
