If the tournament were to start today, and all conference affiliation was out the window, this is who Kentucky would face (considering the higher seed won every game)

Big Blue Bracketology

These things are fun but all dreams at this point. Virginia is likely to lose several games such as at Duke, UNC, and may lose a couple times on their home court as well. Personally, the only 2 teams that I see as threats are Duke and Wisconsin.

Wisconsin plays a ball control offense and can be a real challenge if they keep the score close and foul near the end guys like WCS, Johnson, even Andrew.

Duke is a hot and cold team. If they are hitting a lot of 3's, they are tough because they also get the benefit of all the ref's calls.

Otherwise, it was be a huge upset for another team to beat Kentucky by tourney time assuming everything else remains as is.

What's the point of discussing a hypothetical situation that has 0% chance of coming to fruition? I'm not trying to be a dick, but I find this thread pointless.

I don't want to be surrounded by them anywhere lol, but that's just me. To have as little of a basketball tradition as they have that is one arrogant group of people.

OP, I like your thoughts on that message board. Pretty well-thought.

You aren't trying to appear to as one, but you're failing nonetheless.

"Mid-major New York Knicks"

"B12 setting up a monopoly so they can buy hotels"

That's good stuff. Your writing is hilarious in every article...need more writers though.

Yet, you click on it. No one forced you to click on it, or even comment on it; ergo, you need to not bitch about the content in this thread. I understand, you like concrete and things which are easy to decipher, and cannot stand theory or abstract thinking; this is common among Rafters. Most people are like you; they need things to be spelled out for them, and have trouble thinking for themselves. Most people like you need "facts" and cannot handle anything without "facts"; people who are in the minority who enjoy theory, abstract thinking, and thinking for themselves do not need facts, but will use them to appease the "only the facts please" crowd. You're not being a dick; I would put your post in the "petulant crybaby" category.

Anyway, for us who enjoy the hypothetical, I hate the idea of playing Iowa; they seem to give Kentucky trouble.....regardless. I think Kentucky would smack Oklahoma around, and would then draw Duke in the Regionals. There is no way that Duke falls below a two seed, and if Louisville is in the 4-5 line, look for them to be in Kentucky's bracket. West Virginia is sure to be there too, if they land on that line. Delon Wright is great, but he cannot shoot threes well, at all. I could see Kentucky possibly drawing Dayton in the second round (oh, the flashbacks). The 16-seed could be Robert Morris (he he he.....).

You kind of have to expect the story lines galore to come out this year when they release the actual brackets. It's like the world revolves around Kentucky Basketball, and there will be the most interesting matchups in our region that is for sure.

Agree. Last year's UK bracket was set specifically for the storylines. Wichita State, the undefeated talk of the season having to face UK, rematch with UL and then Duke. If UK wins then UK/UL with winner facing Duke. All a pure setup..

This year if the Cats are unbeaten they will get the same treatment. IU #8, Wichita St #4 UNC/KU the 2/3 seeds.
