When that banner officially comes down, his seat will boil. Maybe the vile will hold on to him, butt his seat will be HOT!Wishful thinking column. Maybe pitino is wearing out his welcome in Louisville given this speculation.
Awww. How cute of Bozich. What a taint
If he's ever in college again, I'd say it would be as an A.D.
Why would Donovan ever coach college again? He's been successful enough that he will have an NBA job for as long as he wants one. I'm pretty sure he's made the comment several times how great it is being able to "just coach basketball" without all of the other hassles that the college game brings.
His speculation on possible job openings for Donovon next year in CB is a whole new subject.
"Remain the coach of a 31-51 NBA team or take the best available job in college basketball, which by 2018 could include Louisville, North Carolina, Duke, UCLA or another spot where a guy with two NCAA championship rings would be handsomely paid and adored."
Definitely not. Billy is wholly and entirely a basketball guy.
He is very happy in the NBA. I don't think he returns, but as much as some hate to hear it-- UL would be a possibility. I think the only possibility.
Do you really "coach" in the NBA? Serious question. I never see any set plays, you're not allowed to zone, there's no strategies. Just give the ball to your best player and let him make a move.

I suppose it is possible that there are openings at UL, Duke, UNC, & UCLA. Doubt he takes any of them.
UL - could be a real mess depending on NCAA.
Duke - will keep it in the family.
UNC - could have NCAA penalties + will keep it in the family.
UCLA - maybe, but I don't see Donovan stepping down to be second fiddle in LA.
Don't know if you left the extra L out on purpose or accidentally, but either way, I like it!When that banner officially comes down, his seat will boil. Maybe the vile will hold on to him, butt his seat will be HOT!![]()
I'm not so sure "keeping it in the family" is the priority for the heels that it once was. Now that their little AFAM scam's been exposed, they can go after the best available coach.I suppose it is possible that there are openings at UL, Duke, UNC, & UCLA. Doubt he takes any of them.

On purpose it was left out. It is how I now how I view them, U of vile.Don't know if you left the extra L out on purpose or accidentally, but either way, I like it!
Duke will keep any future job openings within the family IMO.
Taint tell you. It's a secret.Taints? What's Taints?![]()
Maybe you're right about Capel. I don't know. But is Duke hiring a guy that was fired by Oklahoma just for the sake of "keeping it in the family"?Duke is hiring Capel. Donovan would be a terrible fit in Durham. No way he wants to follow K. That would be incredibly stupid.
Louisville is in terrible shape. He turned down UK twice to end at Louisville? It's not even a top 10 program anymore. They are an afterthought. Not happening.
Ucla? Dont see it.
I see UNC or Kentucky in his future if it happens at all.
Pitino once said more coaching is done in a quarter of a single NBA game than is done over the course of an entire college season. Even applying the usual and necessary Pitino Embellishment Discount, say maybe more coaching is done in an NBA week of games than a college season......still.Do you really "coach" in the NBA? Serious question. I never see any set plays, you're not allowed to zone, there's no strategies. Just give the ball to your best player and let him make a move.
