Man, that's a great turnaround since the Ole Miss game.
17th defense in the country since Ole Miss, according to Torvik. 11th overall in efficiency since then.
Our W/L record is masking what’s really going on with this team, they’re clearly improving even through extreme adversity and a ridiculous conference schedule. We have a real chance to go E8+ in this NCAAT.
Let’s see them Saturday against a real team with a great offense on the road.
But I saw an awareness, communication, and helping of teammates tonight that’s been missing. Very encouraging even if that was a joke of a team/performance LSU put forth with their bad roster and injuries.

That's what happens when you finally get a few of the LSU/OU types, and get some guys back so we're not running bench players all game.
I think this teams defense would have been in the 40s if we were even just modestly healthy. And that's good enough for me.

It further proves that the metrics don’t actually weigh the competition correctly. If duke had to play this schedule, their metrics would look much different. Their defense certainly wouldn't be top 5.
Beating up on bad teams, is basically gaming the system. We finally beat up on a bad team and bam, we jump up.

Huge test for the team at Missouri coming up. We're going to have to really shoot well to win there this year.
We are going to learn a lot more about us, and it may be that we finally see this team get it together defensively here on out. The fact that since the Ole Miss game, we're 17th, and 11th in efficiency is a real, vast, improvement.
