Assuming we finish 8-4. Where do we land? If 2 SEC teams make the playoffs, I’d the Outback Bowl our ceiling? Or are we more likely to end up in Jacksonville, Charlotte or Nashville?

At 8-4 we are a LOCK for Tampa.
At this point, a loss to the Dirty Birds would make this season an abject FAILURE.

None of these Bowls are new years 6 so it really doesn't matter. Glorified exhibitions.
If we finish 8-4, My heart says Outback but my gut says Gator.
8-4 is a step backward, but considering all the injuries, new coaches, and the turnover on the O-line, it’s acceptable. We all know it would be 9-3 if Levis hadn’t been out for USCjr. They are awful.
Anything less than 8-4 and the season is definitely a failure.

We finish 9-4 with our 5th straight bowl win and the season was a success.
You can’t be this naive after all that was said this offseason
It seems like a lot of people predicted 8-4 before the season started. Now it's considered a failure.
I certainly hope for Tampa. Outside of Nashville, it’s the cheapest for me since I have family in Clearwater. Likely the only one I’d be able to attend that doesn’t require me getting a hotel so I’m hoping for that.
If it’s against a Big Ten team, then it is a very important bowl game for a variety of reasons. Damn people don’t think things through.
Scheduling plays a large role on overall record. 8-4 vs 9-3 doesn’t really matter let’s be honest we are at what we expected this yr. Maybe flip UF / USC but we’ve lost every prime game on schedule
The conference, ESPN, and bowls like to put schools in newest positions possible. We finish the deal 8-4 we are a mortal lock for the bowl formerly known as outback.

I love us against any B1g T3n team in Tampa New Yrs day. Any of them.
As are 4 of the 6 NY6 Bowls, and were the vast majority of bowls for the vast majority of their existence.
But they are beautiful events, especially in warm weather!!

Literally no other conference matters. You want to see Stoops jerk off while watching the clock run down against NC State again? Who the hell wants to watch us play a Big 12 or PAC 12 team! Lose-lose situation. B1G-SEC bowl games are the only ones that mean anything besides NY6.

We could get a PAC 12 opponent in Vegas whichwould be cool if we don't make a Florida bowl. Liberty probably still has a Big 12 tie in, but eff that.

Sad season with no offensive success no matter what bowl. So frustrating.
Lets wait and see how the last four pan out Deli. Still alot of football to be played.
Offense haven’t changed in 10 years. Not going to the next few games.
A nice FL bowl would be nice if the CATS can finish up 8-4.
I want a Florida bowl. I like driving to bowls so Las Vegas would probably be out for me.

They get a top 20 matchup every year, and it is usually competitive.
The citrus bowl is as close as your going to get to a NY6 bowl, both times Kentucky won it was a fun game
