BB Recruiting Bossi: Latest on Wiseman from Atlanta

What's interesting in this recruitment is that unlike most, you can actually kind of get a feel for what things would be like seeing that Memphis is so big on selling keeping everyone home. Usually when an elite talent is on a mediocre or bad team be it HS or AAU, you can bank on them wanting to go where they can play with elite players/have a shot at winning a championship(s). Wiseman's team has been very mediocre during EYBL play and they are playing kids/teams from all over, not in the state of TN. Guard play is lacking and them deciding to not play Zion Harmon because someone's kid needed to play is interesting choice.

This is really about business. Business decisions need to be made with the head and not the heart. Wise men do that. Will Wiseman?

If they played a kid just because his parent is someone instead of playing Zion Harmon must be the reason he left that team. AAU gives these kids exposure but not much else it seems.

I really would love to see Wiseman go ahead and pick UK and get it over with. He would be a special player at UK.

I believe we get him, because he will want to play on a team that has a chance to win a NC. Also, doesn’t hurt us to already have J, M and H on board.
