Booker is the best pure shooter that I have seen play for the cats..

Then you have not watch many UK games, personally with all the talent that has played at UK over the years how anyone can single out an individual player as the best of anything blows my mind. But I will leave you with this, in the summer of 1978 I watched Macy drill 38 straight NBA 3's like me shooting free throws.

I know its been many to play for the cats. But in my opinion he was the best.

Being "the best" naturally requires a deference to statistics. At least that's how many will look at it. So, it is whatever it is. But I will say Booker had the prettiest shot - the one that always looked pure and like it was going in - of any player I've seen at UK since the mid 70s.

Not really easy to compare. Lamb made it to is soph year. Booker didn't. The one thing about booker is he had a mid range game as well. Lamb did not

I don't know about best at UK, but Booker may turn out to be the best out of that class in the NBA. Now that's a surprise
Like another poster indicated, when Lamb was open, I figured it was going in.

I guess when evaluating pure shooters there's a tendency to focus on 3 pt shooting too much. I would say Booker could get his shot off under duress while Lamb was more of a spot-up. Lucky for us, that's exactly what the 2012 team needed but it's probably what limits his NBA potential.

It was a drive by post, same MO for this guy, he knows nothing about UK, slurps UNC and his home school, Terps, keeps banning him for the nonstop monronicness.

In addition to being the best 3 pt shooter for a career at UK, Doron Lamb is also the best 3 pt shooter in the NCAA tournament for UK at 20 out of 36 for 55.56% (thank you Jon Scott....). http://www.bigbluehistory.net/bb/statistics/ncaacareer3ptfieldgoalpercent.html
Cam Mills is second. Booker is not among the top 35.

Doron Lamb also owns the 6th and 10th best 3 pt % for a season at UK. Cam has the 2nd and 16th best. Booker is only the 31st best for a single season. (thank you again Jon Scott...) http://www.bigbluehistory.net/bb/statistics/season3ptfieldgoalpercent.html

Basically, Booker isn't in the discussion for best pure shooters at UK. He was good. Not great and certainly not all time great.

Jay Shidler was quite a long range shooter. Maybe not the best in UK history but worthy of a mention nonetheless.
