Boogie Fland done for the year

I just read where Cal thinks Fland might have a chance to return this year. He's going to try a new treatment to see if the hand can heal faster and more efficiently. For 1 hour each day, Cal is going to scream "HEEEEEEEEEALLLLLLL!!!!" at Fland's hand to try and "coach it up" and make it better.

This also really helps UKs chances in getting the win. Arkansas is thin, they are down 1 of a few NBA talents (I'm not sure I believe Thiero is an "NBA talent" but he's come on strong), and they will be battered. On top of that, they have to rely on Wagner even more.

"come check out Boogie's hand in warmups, see if he's going to play or not".

This sounds like T. Clarke's 3 month ankle injury.

And vandos most all season mystery injury.

I’m really going to enjoy the completely unbalanced load management phase of the collapse.

Yep this is definitely coming. Initially davis will be way better and their team will be better. However by march they will be ground into dust ala kellen grady and reeves.

Not that they will have much to care about by then but still.

I swear everything that UK fans told Ark fans would happen…..is happening.

1. Cal saying things at press conferences that are mind boggling that he should have kept to himself.

2. He doesn’t really run an offense.

3. Wagner will play a TON no matter what.

4. There will always be some type of mysterious injury that Cal can fall back on for an excuse.

5. He will complain about not having enough guys to practice even though it’s on him to fill out his roster completely.

And so many more…
But we’re the “ Bennies”

Of all the questionable injuries Vanderbilt’s wasn’t one.

Maybe the way it was handled and reported was. But that dude was hurt. He didn’t play for more than a year after he left here.

And it continues. He hasn’t played this season yet.

I just saw where he is cleared to make his season debut.

Tickets are still available tonight at Arkansas. 6th row almost Center Court going for $50 a seat. People are saying wait for them to drop even more. I might have to take a ride there and sit close with my UK gear on and cheer for the Razorbacks (just to add a little more salt)
Add a simple sign saying "Told Ya" for added effect.

If they were undefeated in SEC play I'm sure this hand issue wouldn't be happening.

Draft stock must look bad
They are already arguing over whether he’s actually hurt, how NIL shouldn’t be paid now, and how nobody cares because college is dead because of NIL(hard to argue there).

I’m just glad we don’t have these issues every year again. I know it’s early but I won’t tire of having NBA prospects shutting it down for BS reasons. I hope we recruit the best players, but I know Pope won’t make promises like Cal and will do what’s best for us in the long run.

Some of them said they heard it was a minor sprain that would take 2 weeks to heal. I am betting you are spot on that if they were 5-0 and ranked high he would be playing. His camp definitely shut him down for the year.

Yeah for real, that video just happened to my knowledge. He also shot 13 times last game. Something stinks like usual. I think he is hurt, but no enough to shut it down.
He’s been falling down draft boards also. Bleacher report has him at 22 now. They posted that mock draft on January 14, so it would be interesting to see what the next one has him at.

Nah. Cal has the roster right where he wants it now. Only 8 players so he can play his 8 man rotation.
Also, he can move DJ to PG ( where Cal and DJ wants him to be), without worrying about HAVING to play through Boogie. Now, Cal can start 3 bigs and play inside out , DD with DJ and lean on thiero and Adoo to go get the missed shots or score on the old alley oop fling at the basket play, while letting Z back up both Knox and Adoo.

Cal is happier than a pig in $hit right now with this development. He probably TOLD Boogies handlers they needed to shut Boogie down to protect his draft status.

Now Cal can make his tweak.....play Cal ball.
You definitely understand Cal brain.

Supposedly had surgery in NYC.
Looks like since he went back "home" for the surgery that the family is in charge now.
I'm sure he's counting down the days to bolt from Fayetteville.

If it was bad enough to need surgery how did he play 30 minute in the last 2 games? None of that makes sense and sounds like a typical Cal situation that can’t be checked because of HIPAA.

probably the saddest part of this is its a predictable pattern with Calipari players

The more you see Cal from a distance the more you realize just how much BS UK fans put up with while he ran the program

If Fland isn't hurt then its Cal putting his players and himself above the program.
If Fland is hurt with a season ending injury, then its Cal refusing to maximize his scholarships and develop players that he has zero interest, motivation or ability to do so
If Fland is hurt and its not season ending, then we'll see how long it goes from Cal defending Fland to him throwing shade at Fland after losses in the press publicly calling his player out while still proclaiming he is players first. Flands public protection from Cal is proportionate to the amount of pressure he is under to save the season, keep the NIL money rolling in and secure his future as a highly paid coach.

Arkansas with the full Calipari experience. 🤣
I told my wife yesterday that they've gotten every issue we had w/ Cal the last 5 years condensed into the first 6 months of his Arky gig. After all the crowing those clowns did, it's got to be galling thieir gizzard that we've been proven so conclusively correct in every one of our predictions for him/them; sans the early tourney exits, which they'll only get the full monty effect next year, as their entirely sh!tty regular season won't earn an invite to the Big Dance this year.

No way around it now. Arkansas is the worst team in the SEC.
Nah, that award belongs to South Carolina. After watching them literally hand the game to Florida last night, I have come to the only possible conclusion you can… .they literally don’t want to win. That's how bad those turnovers were.

If you listen to his press conferences, he does that fake "my fault" crap and you know it's fake, but that dude reads all the comments. He has obviously seen all the stuff people have been saying about Davis looking great at FAU, but struggling now, so he went WAYYY out of his way to show us just how narcissistic he is. He said he watched tape of Davis at FAU and that they played him the exact same way he is playing him.

So what he did there, was put the blame on Davis and let everyone know it isn't his (Cal's) fault. But he reminds everyone that he's protecting the kids.

What a phony POS.

I know it sounds crazy. But I think the hogs cover. Davis scores 15+. I swear that dude was a player last year. Cal mishandled his role and mins. But he’s forced to turn him loose now
He was a whopping 3-14 with 9 points. Interesting Davis and Wagner took twice the amount of shots as anyone else on the team.

I think the injury to Fland basically sticks a fork in the season for the Hogs. Not to say they arent going to win any more, I think they might win 3 or 4 more conference games, all at home, but thats it. Hard to see them getting any road wins, except maybe LSU.

I just looked up the worst at large record (most losses)to get an NCAAT bid.

14

I'm not sure if Arkansas will do better than 14 losses, but if they have 15, 16 losses, as I think they will , then its over. I'll give them a .000001 shot to make the tournament.

.... So what I'm saying is ... There's a chance .....

I don’t think Boogie is faking an injury . If they were winning he might could have played through it I guess .

No Boogie but Davis still struggled . Wagner isn’t a PG. They might would have won last night with Boogie also . The only chance Arkansas has at winning in the SEC is for it to be an ugly grind it out game .
