Boogie Fland done for the year

When did that dancing video of Adou/Boogie get posted regarding their new “winning streak” lulz Furthermore, didn’t Fland play TWO games even after said “injury”?!
Yeah for real, that video just happened to my knowledge. He also shot 13 times last game. Something stinks like usual. I think he is hurt, but no enough to shut it down.

Is there any way for you two to maybe get each other‘s phone numbers so you can argue that way?

Or put each other on ignore?

The one thing about Cold stout, he won’t stop arguing. As you can see the guy posts 25 times per day. 8,400 posts in just over a year. Each one more argumentative than the next.

Or maybe I’ll just ignore…..yeah, that’s what I’ll do.

I have no idea who you’re talking to or about as I have said poster/posters on ignore. I always see messages like this and it just reaffirms my quick ignore trigger 😂

At least he is moving away from his day-to-day/week-to-week/month-to-month/haven’t seen him strategy into being done for the season strategy.

Did he break his hand or something? Just hard to see what would cause a quick done for the season after playing with it.

I heard he’s gonna have to use Billy Richmond as the back up PG. So now you have Wagner and Richmond Taking turns and they couldn’t run offense with an actual great PG.
Fland wasn't a great PG in regard to winning. I think he can probably become a good lead guard, but he made so many negative and bad "I'm going to be the man" plays when I've watched them that I'm very grateful he wasn't UK's PG this season and we have Butler instead. I'm not saying Ark. is better off without Fland. I just think they could be better with Fland or Wagner coming off the bench (mostly as a backup PG). Calipari, however, wasn't going to have it any other way than playing them both together due to his goals. So again, his hand being forced could result in a better result - theoretically at least. Of course, that's only one issue of many for Ark. (e.g., intentionally creating a thin roster).

I agree this will be the thing that gets Nelly going, and what a shame it’s been to see his talent wasted. But this leaves Arkansas with just 8 players, including Knox and Richmond who contribute very little and are redundant pieces. Including Ivisic who Cal has also broken. DJ Wagner is the same player he was last season. Trevon Brazile has never been the same after his knee injury. Jonas Aidoo is the kind of real tough guy you need on your roster, but he’s not particularly skilled or talented. They had no shooting as it was and just lost their best shooter.

Arkansas is completely and totally cooked. 3-15 SEC record is best case scenario.
Nah. Cal has the roster right where he wants it now. Only 8 players so he can play his 8 man rotation.
Also, he can move DJ to PG ( where Cal and DJ wants him to be), without worrying about HAVING to play through Boogie. Now, Cal can start 3 bigs and play inside out , DD with DJ and lean on thiero and Adoo to go get the missed shots or score on the old alley oop fling at the basket play, while letting Z back up both Knox and Adoo.

Cal is happier than a pig in $hit right now with this development. He probably TOLD Boogies handlers they needed to shut Boogie down to protect his draft status.

Now Cal can make his tweak.....play Cal ball.

I agree somewhat, but I think that it’s more a product of Cal’s bad system and nobody else to break down defenders really. He still averaged 6 assists a game which is great with low turnovers.

When you hire someone for millions to be your teams coach and he decides to be a player agent at the expense of your team winning, that is contractual fraud or at least ought to be.
Yup, Cal was making more money than Nick Saban there for a while and he stole every cent of that money.
How someone could get that much money and fan support and decide to put winning on the back burner, is crazy to me.
Maybe he thinks he was hiding it, but too much factual information was out there.
De'Aaron Fox really outed him and confirmed what we already thought to be true.

Exactly. You are not going to beat these SEC teams with nothing but 1 on 3 ISO and the weave. That is some of the easiest junk to defend and he's not even coaching it right. Nobody knows where to be, of course they all just stand there and nobody knows what their role is.
This is what you get when you prioritize individual goals.

Sees the writing on the wall and shuts it down for the year. Can't say I'm surprised. Wouldn't surprise me to see others join him on the bench as their records gets worse.

Definitely agree on the coaching. Being allowed or even told to just go "make a play" is, in my opinion, horrible development for a talented PG. Not being called out when you dribble the air out of the ball and end up with a jump back 16-footer while the rest of the team ball watches, is bad for the team and the player regardless of whether he makes the shot or not.

Fland is a very good talent, and like I said I think he can become a very good lead guard. But some of his assists can be attributed to the position that he's in and the fact that nobody else is very good at getting an assist (somebody has to get a few, right?). Fland may be the best freshman PG talent in CBB, but does he have a positive enough impact on winning games to be the PG you would want on a title contender? I don't think so - not yet, not the way he's being allowed to play. His FG% is a clear telling point. BUT to me that's on his coach.

It could get ugly, very ugly.
What number of wins do they need for it not to be considered ugly? No matter what number you throw out I don't think they have a snowballs chance in hell of hitting that. I think it already is ugly and is trending towards dumpster fire and bog of eternal stench levels.

Never like to see a player injured, and Fland seemed like a good kid. I agree, who knows if he even is seriously injured versus shutting it down to protect draft stock. That Arkansas team only had two bright spots being Fland and Thiero and now they have lost one of those. I think they miss the NCAA tourney for sure now as they were on the path to miss it with Fland.

We all know that Wagner will shoot like he's Reed Sheppard for one game against us, and Big Z will be on fire, and Davis will play like the top transfer they expected. Just saying expect Arkansas to play their best game of the season against us.

Looks like the NIT will have it’s dream matchup in one if their play-in games, Arkansas vs North Carolina.
