Boley looked good

Throw in a very questionable OL in combo and you've got a recipe for a lot of pressures/sacks, ineffective plays, low percentage passing, etc.

You nailed it.

Hopefully the portal and some NIL can plug some gaps. Maybe some youngsters emerge. We can’t consistently compete with end-rushers breathing down our QB’s neck 1.5 seconds after the snap.

I think Boley would be a solid building block for any new staff, and could prove to be Stoops’ salvation, if he can turn the tide next season. Yeah, I think Boley has the mentality and the tools to be very, very good.

With the buyout, unless someone steps forward with huge money, there ain’t no change coming this year.
I could care less if Boley is Stoops salvation but I do care that he could prove to be UK football salvation. I want to live long enough to see a consistant winner. At 79, I most likely cant wait another 12 years of wandering in the SEC basement. I do think with development, Boley has the skill set to give us a chance to turn this train wreck around. The kid has real potential. With Boley being successful would do wonders for future QB recruitment. Kids could see that if they come here they have a chance to be successful, on and off Kroger field.

There is no downside to starting Boley against Texas, although there's no way that's happening given Stoops' uber conservative makeup. The guy has a way higher ceiling than BVG who will never be more than a barely adequate SEC QB. Obviously we know that Wimsatt isn't the answer either. Let the young gun play, and if he makes some mistakes and we get drilled....well so what. We've been getting drilled by mediocre SEC teams all year long. Develop our young QB talent for a change.

One other thing to note about boley is the marked improvement in his short stint in Lexington.

What i saw from him in hs, he played straight up and down which also lead to very little leg drive on his throws. He was all arm. I assume that was partly due to poor lower body strength as I noted his extremely skinny legs in a pic way back then

Total opposite now. Much more flexible. Nice leg drive on throws (though he still has much room to improve), and plays with decent flexibility (much room here to improve too).

I know there was whispers out there about stone being the presumptively better qb prospect by a decent margin, but i will just have to see. If it ends up being true, he must be quite the qb indeed.

You can tell that Boley is much more fluid in all aspects to BV the ease of throwing the quickness he just seems more natural
Hopefully we can stabilize the OL soon and he can be the QB

Saunders looks pretty good on film.

And he has (or had) a receiver that turned in a lot of YAC, on numerous videos. I wonder where his leading receiver is headed . . . likely PSU.
