Blue Not Getting in?

I didn't feel like the crowd had much going against us even when Troy was keeping it close early. Heard some chants for us throughout but didn't seem all that in favor. But, didn't seem to be a lot of cheering against us either.

It has been a great ride. Our team had so many monster wins. Pope brought happiness back and this team is the most Kentucky feeling group in a long time. I love everyone of these players. I don’t want it to end. They deserve a long run.

Even if we lose I won’t out it on them totally more so bad luck this year. We did what we needed and gained games on Kansas. Pope has a tourney win now and the Calipari monkey is off our backs. If we get the round of 32 win it will fully exercise the last 5 years.m
Cal monkey won’t be gone until he loses, hopefully tomorrow and/or we beat him.

As long as we make it to the sweet 16 and he loses it’s over for me. Even if he wins I just want the second weekend again. He will choke sometime. We all know it. I think Pitino and St John’s are the better team. Something Rick didn’t have often at UofL against Cal.

Unfortunately I think us beating beaten and battered had many dance feeling hopelessly optimistic….meaning, we do t see a real run but know was are good enough to win 2 games and then a it’s all uphill. Makes for ppl being nonchalant and accepting of the potential L eventually.

If we had our fulll strength team then I think we get a great showing bc alll the positive vibes and momentum. But this offseason just feels weird even tho the team has been a triumphant story and team

Let’s face it Kentucky fan base is in Kentucky and neighboring states. We don’t have as many fans country wide like Duke for instance , who has very little of its fan base in N Carolina compared to rest of to rest of the country and especially north east urban areas. For instance , Duke is going to have more fans in Newark than Ralleigh.

We had our chance to play in our arena and we were not good enough for a one seed. Of course we got matched wit a lower seed that has the home turf next door. Besides Maryland and Auburn , I think we got the worst treatment as far as location.

Sunday is going to be 80 /20 orange / blue.

My question is does the school gets ticket that could sell to students like we did for final4? We could least get 5 charter busses of students to go to the game and cheer our boys up.

We didn't have a chance to play in our own arena, no matter what seed we got. That changed in 1985 after, coincidentally UK beat Illinois at Rupp in the 1984 Mideast Regional final, and their fans blew a fit about having to play an away game to go to the Final Four. I think that's the main reason there's still so much UK hatred among their fanbase.
