Was it on the last touchdown ? If so I was awing at that while celebrating a td. Was best blitz pickup of the night by far(maybe the only🤣)
I was wondering if anyone else saw that. He turned a blitzer into a pinball and it was hilarious. He destroyed that man. Huge blitz pickup
He was the best RB overall of the 3 that played in the 2nd half. He needs more reps. Smoke whiffed TWICE on blocks that got Levis KILLED!!!
Not sure if I'm the only one but I never have liked Smoke. Even when he has a good game I'm like ehh. Doesn't impress me or something. Maybe because he is "kinda" good at a couple things, sometimes, but not really. I dont know what it is. Don't get me wrong I don't dis-like him or anything . Just like ehh
Smoke is so valuable to the run game but he needs to block for sure. Our team wins off of small things that win football games. We can’t afford plays like that.
You could hear Wrights block from the nosebleeds. Stuff like that pumps me up more than a 15 yard run.
Rick said Wright was dealing with stuff in camp and was happy to see him last night. Seems he gained some Coach confidence.
Some backs can’t block well or just don’t. It takes a lot of time, effort and confidence to be a good blocking RB.
Smoke is a Sr. No excuse for him to miss blocks that extend the time Levis has to throw the ball. It will be the difference in big games.
I saw the one where the RB didn't pickup the blitz, that must have been Smoke. OLine is taking a lot of heat today regarding pass pro but not all of it was on the line.
He ain’t big enough to be a power back in this league and doesn’t have the hands to release from the backfield
That Wright block fired me up. After he stoned him, he went back and hit him again just to make sure he was dead. THAT WAS MARK STOOPS FOOTBALL. It really stood out in a game where we seemed to lack physicality at the line, and our #1 RB showed no interest at all in pass blocking.
Our coaches say it all the time, if you don’t block you won’t play.
I love the way Stoops gives veterans a chance. Smoke has earned it. He’s showed he can be a capable back, though not likely an event down workhorse. He got his shot, and he blew it from what I saw.
Assuming Jefferson and Wright are healthy, I think you go with those two.
