Bill Walton Is Horrible

Walton is good, funny and always has an opinion. Unlike the one eyed terror that continues to call Cats games (Which requires the Mute button and I use it). Would much rather have Walton than v mouth, and we could always mute him also.

vitale is a disgrace to humanity, and at least Walton is humorous.

It is easier to criticize and be negative. Look at the posts here about Vitale, Walton, and others. In my day, everyone hated Howard Cosell. We need more of these guys not less. I watched on that UK basketball site the 78 championship game with Cawood and he had opinions, a few off the wall comments, etc. as well. By the way, the first half of that game with Duke was no different than today. They got every foul call imaginable and even Cawood was going off on the refs. He would be a great fit here if alive today.

Walton is horrible,if I want entertainment spiced with social commentary I will listen to Dylan,if I tune in to a basketball game I want to see and hear about basketball

last night the guy with him asked walton for his opinion on another team or conference (I can't remember), but bill flat out replied that he doesn't know, "i only watch pac 12". lol

Bill Walton tidbit, Bill will not take pictures with people with caps on, he will flat out refuse. Luke Kornett (Vandy player)has a sister, who is transferring to UCLA to play ball. She was always a Bill Walton fan, and got to meet him. She was dressed casual, with cap on of course, and asked to have a picture with him. As blunt as Bill can be, he says to her, "I don't take pictures with people in caps". Gotta love the guy.

That is the most random reason not to have your picture taken with someone

My favorites are when Walton goes all insane hyperbole. This was back when he was doing NBA games, and I can't remember what the topic even was other than it was something pretty trivial and Walton said it was "the greatest travesty in the history of western civilization." Or earlier this year when UCLA made a poor play early in the first half and he says "the worst possession in the history of UCLA basketball."

I'd love to sack out on a couch and watch a game with him in a private residence to see how crazy he can really get during games.

vitale is a lame-brained egomaniac and a distraction from the game he's supposed to be analyzing

walton is self-aware and entertaining. vitale is like a 5 year old boy who needs to tell you everything he knows

he's a complete POS and i despise him

Walton is great to listen to. Especially when you know he probably just smoked a bowl before he goes on air.

I use to think he was funny to listen to call a game, but I think that was only if he was high or drunk or high and drunk. He seems sober this game. His slurpfest for the PAC-12 is getting ridiculous. Every other sentence is talking about the "Conference of Champions". We get it you played in the conference and your son did as well. It even sounds like the play by play guy is getting annoyed with him. I hope the conference is making him say that.

I agree. I think he's an idiot. When he does a game, I turn the channel. He was a hell of a college BB player though.

he was a hell of a pro when he could get on the court, too

on the 86 celtics his per 36 minute averages were 14/13/4 and 2.5 blocks

and this after missing three seasons entirely, and playing in only 14 games total between 78-9 and 81-2. and he only played in 33 games the following year

in his prime he wasn't the best center of all time but he may have been the most complete

It's commentary about a game. There's high blood pressure pills. Xanax. Beer. Not caring. We turn to games because they don't have relevance to anything. They're distractions from woe. I believe TVs come with volume controls. On/off switches. The ability to change channels. Etc.

He just needs to be on a talk/radio show or reality show. Save the game calling for someone who actually cares about what's going on to only talk about the games for two hours.
