Bill Self says KU preparing to present more information to NCAA in Cheick Diallo case Read more her

Wilson spent 3 years at ONSA. Dillard spent 2 years at ONSA. Yawke spent 2 years at ONSA. Eubanks spent 1 year at ONSA. What is your point again jarms24?
My point is that you spin everything and rarely post factual information. You said this ...
His OSNA classwork isn't what the NCAA requested.

The article clearly says the opposite...
But his freshman season continues to hang in the balance as the NCAA inspects Diallo's three academic years at Our Savior New American, a private school in Centereach, N.Y., that has been subject to NCAA review.

Yep, that one proves you wrong too. You said OSNA wasn't the issue. That article insinuates that OSNA is where the hangup is ...

For three years, Diallo attended Our Savior New American School in Centereach, New York, which is currently under NCAA review.

Remember, you said this ...
It the classwork from his freshman year in high school in Mali that the want to see now.

It sounds like they're questioning both, to me.

You are right. The NCAA was questioning both. The new information that is being gathered is coming from Mali.

The kid speaks four languages. He took and passed 6 hours of college classes. His OSNA classwork isn't what the NCAA requested. It the classwork from his freshman year in high school in Mali that the want to see now. His teammates at OSNA - Dillard (OK State), Wilson (Pitt) Yakwe (St. John's) and Eubanks (Baylor or Georgetown) have all been cleared.

NO YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS KID SPEAKS UNITED NATIONS!

What? These two are no where near the same scenario. Skal has zero academic issues.

I'm all for the kid playing but let's understand the situations.

The only reason the NCAA would be looking into Skal would be the actions of his guardian.

Huge difference in academic eligibility and potential violations.

It's amazing how off some of the correlations are on this board.

None of us thinks he doesn't deserve to be cleared. He does and its a joke the NCAA is not clearing him already. If you're like us, you expect to get screwed over by the NCAA. I'm sure he gets cleared, but if he doesn't, KU's frontcourt takes a hit.

I don't think these kansas fans get it.

It's supposed to be US, KENTUCKY, constantly in the headlines for the ish that's going down at Louisville, UNC, Duke, and yes, Kansas. These four schools have consistently been in the headlines for program issues of different kinds since Cals arrival here. It seems like Kansas has some kind of team/NCAA issue every single year. And it's a fact that Alexander would have meant NCAA probation pre-late 2,000's. All of a sudden none of these fans want to discuses "strict Liability"

It's pretty clear to me that Cal owns this thing and everyone like Bill Self and Pitino have had to stretch and break rules to keep up. Kansas is also responsible for their own academic scandal under Roy Williams and Wayne Waldon, but for some reason everyone is sleeping on it. They also had cluster issues much in the same way.

I know it's off topic, but I never understand why Kansas fans sound so shocked when we laugh at all of their transgressions. They spend more time defending issues than choking.

I have no clue what you mean by that. Can someone translate?

Nothing, I don't even care about this topic.

I just think it's funny watching all of you jay hawks squirm and defend yearly.

Those saying the only issue for Skal is the guardian (Hamilton) are forgetting what part of that action was.....creating a high school Senior program-Reach Your Dream Prep, a school formed by Hamilton.

That was only a basketball team. He didn't go to school there.

Maybe sit this one out and do a little research, 78.

Call it what you want (Not at you S&C). I call it a "character" issue. Plain and simple...(Will you do anything to achieve a goal? No matter what? That is a character issue....very simple. Unless of course you are having to explain the "lack of character".)

I still can't figure out if you're talking about UNC, Louisville, or Kansas. I'll just assume all 3.

Please tell us which classes Skal took at this program?

Hi-Low Triangle 101
Advanced 1-3-1 Full Court Press
How UNC's 4 Corner Offense was the Greatest Insult to College Basketball
How UNC's 20 Years of Cheating Overcame the 4 Corner Offense as the Greatest Insult to College Basketball

Just because the name of the team/organization was called Prep doesn't mean it was ever a school, he never left the school he graduated from.

His eligibility issues on the high school level were confined to his transfer, for sport purposes only, to the school he has since graduated from. We see these cases every year in KY.

This RYD Prep NEVER formed an official learning program.

If the NCAA has any actions regarding Skal they will have nothing to do with his club basketball team and focus on the only allegations out there - his guardian attempting to get money for Skal's services, allegedly.

And to further that point if no transactions were made, is it a violation? The NCAA is quite explicit in the use of the term "received benefit".

If he can explain the Triangle Offense, he has passed all the IQ and Wonderlic test he needs. There are only about 5-6 people that can do that and none are coaching the Knicks now.

Is RC retarded or does he just have the reading comprehension of a 1st grader?

Unfortunately, a number of these posts remind me of how some of the "experts" here were equally sure Kanter would be eligible too. I don't trust the NCAA and will keep my fingers crossed.

I think we are all in agreement with trusting the NCAA, 78.

He may very well have a violation issue, but not an academic issue. That is my only point.

After you making this comment it's clear to see that you have absolutely no clue about Skal's situation. Simply spouting off just to be spouting off. Someone (Hamilton included) just can't up and create a high school out of thin air. RYD was a basketball team only. As for Skal's academics, he actually attended a well respected school and did just fine academically.

You really think the NCAA has the coconuts to make a Haitian refugee permanently ineligible? Thats a magnet for bad press.
I have read this line of thought multiple time in various threads,Do you really believe it would be such a big factor in what the NCAA might do or not do in the case.If they (NCAA) can weather the UNC storm then bad press in this case would be child's play.
