Sorry for the kid, but it's a bonus for Kentucky because he was one of the only 2 shot-blocking types on the team. The other one (Diallo) is too fragile to go against Poythress.

Sucks that he got injured though, I'm especially bummed for him to have to deal with a high ankle sprain. They stick around for a while, not all that pleasant.

I have always liked Bill Self and that interview just reinforced it, what a down to earth interview he was just honest very open. I do think he needs a Jerry Tipton though he would have been asking every other question about Diallo.

I hate Kansas (a relatively new development in and of itself, and directly because of their fans' complex toward UK), but Self is hard not to like. Seems like a good guy.

I remember some dufus posting on here a few years back about meeting Self at HoopFest. My memory has faded but it was something along the lines of walking up to him and pointing at his UK hat and taunting Self. That thought still embarrasses me as a Cats fan.

I like Self as well. Have always thought he's a very good coach. But then I don't hate on KU like some UK fans. If anybody's going to make that list for me it's IU and UL. Maybe UNC now.

Bill Self is ok in my opinion, I find it hard to hate on the guy. He will have his team ready to play in a very hard place to win, I hope we do it but I am not expecting it. Keep it close and it won't hurt us at all imo.

Yeah, I agree that Self seems like a pretty likeable guy. And I don't really have any hatred for KU either... I still usually root against them because I do see them as a rival, but I don't feel the same way I do about them as I do UL, IU, UNC, etc
