17 bids in the past two years. One team to the Sweet 16. Zero to the Elite Eight. And included in that are a few epic flops, like a 16-1 collapse this year.

This for a conference that has won ONE title in the past 33 years.

You should have to win the conference tournament to get a bid from now on.

Ya some of these conferences get way too much credit. I laugh when Walton starts hyping up "the conference of champions" in the Pac 12 but they haven't won a championship since Zona messed up the 3peat in 97. Coming from somebody who smokes too much, he must smoke too much

Michigan St. should get the automatic bid, as long as Izzo is there. The only team year after year that is competitive at the end of March. All the other 21 teams, or however many are in the B1G now, should have a tournament for 2nd place.

The last 5 years have sucked for them for sure, but over the last 10 years they are number two in number of final fours made. Titles absolutely another story though
