Very true, I still think it’s an eye opener for many recruits who don’t know how basketball crazy Kentucky people are for the Cats. Packed house for a 45 minute practice is pretty impressive. I don’t know if any other school sells out.As much as I am thrilled that Pope is our coach and as excited as I am to have a much-needed new direction for our program, Big Blue Madness is yawner these days.
It was something cool back in the day when there was limited video of the players, no social media, not a lot of practice video and you had to camp or wait out to stampede into Memorial and try to find a good seat and then have a big pep rally until midnight when the team came out and was introduced. Now, there's really just not much anticipation.
I do agree it is getting boring, maybe it’s time to go the scrimmage games against a good team to make money and let the fans see what we are working with going into the season.
