I say we finally have good news and have Reeves return plus add Edwards and Cyril.

That would be an unbelievable finish.
Could probably sell Edwards on playing quite a bit of the PF spot as well.
Really, really need Reeves to return as well.
I think we're destined for more bad news. I absolutely have no faith in calipari anymore.
I tend to agree. I would think Reeves would have announced he’s back by now if that were the case. He’s gone IMO.
I say reeves, mulcahy, and somto. I have a friend who goes to west Virginia and he says Edwards mitchell and battle are all making a lot of money and the interim head coach will get them to stay

I though so to, but he broke the stuff down and why he doesn’t think so for like a hour LoL, he went through all the stages of grief during that time. The more I watch mulcahy the more I like him. Cal wouldn’t do it but small ball lineup with him in it would be really damn efficient offensively
I’m guessing we finish up with Cyril and Mulcahy. I think Cal wants an All-Freshmen starting five.
I suspect Somto is a done deal and probably already committed.. I suspect they don't want to announced until he completes classes, graduates and reclassifies.
You feel good about mulcahy and reeves. Those 3 would be a great close out to the team
I heard from a reliable source that Cal has 3 grad transfers lined up to come in and fill out the roster.

This would be awesome. I would really love to switch Edwards for Jordan Brown. And I’ll add Reeves to those three. If we could pull off Reeves return and add Somto, Brown, and Mulcahy - I would be thrilled to start the season.

Cyril, Edwards, Reeves, and Mulcahy puts us at 14 since Canada is on scholarship now. I guess Cal could pull the scholarship and give it to someone else, but that’s not his style.
I say if we get Cyril, we still need a big, so Edwards is possible as well.
But it’s probably either/or on Reeves and Mulcahy. This team is guard heavy already, I don’t see the room for both.

Edwards is probably a pipe dream if we’re being honest, if he does enter there will be other teams that will offer him the money(Arkansas), mulcahy can play guard and foward, and reeves is what he is but I want him back.
We really need two bigs. Cal needs at least four guys to rotate at the 4 and 5 spots.
And with Bradshaw maybe being injured already, we have to have another body inside.
If it isn’t Edwards, we need Brown.
A rotation of Bradshaw, Edwards (or Brown), Cyril, and Onyenso would shore up the interior.
I think that could be a competitive frontcourt.
I would agree, Edwards very easily could not enter the portal everything now is speculation with him and the WVA players, brown is solid but it’s a uphill battle to get him eligible

It's mid June and we have 8 healthy players. Being an optimist is good for your health.
But what actually makes anyone seriously think this situation will suddenly turn around and every available player will now enroll at Kentucky? What makes people believe Reeves, who is enrolled at Illinois State and trying to achieve eligibility to transfer, will suddenly return to Kentucky?
We have guards. We desperately need baseline players. We will be lucky to add Cyril. Beyond that, I just do not see serious possibilities this summer unless Cal can find an international player.
I do not think anyone including the Athletics Department is missing the bottom line here. The only reason Cal will survive this is that it is not financially feasible to buy out his contract yet.
Say what you want, but Cal is going through some kind of screwy midlife personality metamorphosis and the Athletics Department could not have seen this coming. However, they could have drawn a red line when Cal used UCLA to leverage a new contract at UK. At the time, that would have taken uncommon foresight. But in hindsight, it could have saved Kentucky a lot of money and headaches.

Mulcahy is still visiting schools. Not feeling great about that one.
So, it’s unlikely we have more than 7 true scholarship guys.
We are running out of time. The trip is in just a few weeks.
Well reeves told the staff he was coming back while enrolled at ISU so there’s that and him getting eligible at the school he wants to go to will be a hurdle. And there’s the fact Kentucky ordered his jersey for him and kept his locker up in the locker room
On a visit to Washington. If he wants to start, he will go there or somewhere else. He’s not likely to start here.
