Bellarmine would be the only Jefferson Co. D-1 team I’d root for.Hopefully, it hurts UL a bit.
They will get a share of the NCAA Tourn monies each year. That should make it worth the losses that pile up.Not sure this will pan out but it could. Knights Hall only holds 2160 and i am afraid ticket and food prices go up. 60 per cent of the crowd is senior citizens so I will be curious to see what happens. Wish they would have stayed put. Grass isn’t always greener.

They can shut down UL and make it Bellarmine West.
That's awesome! I didn't realize they had the resources to make such an upgrade in their program.Too many D-1 teams.
Is that because of Davenport, or is it deeper than that?Their bball program is not a fan of UK.
Just looked it up, and the supposed total cost for a year at Bellermine is over $59,000. Most of that is tuition (nearly $39,000) and room & board (over $12,000). I remember reading recently it's now the most expensive school in the state, having passed Centre and Transy, which surprised me a little. Part of the craziness of higher education costs nowadays is that $59,000 is nearly meaningless - it's just the sticker price, which no one pays, and the true price is a whole lot less (usually).Lowering tuition prices would help their enrollment grow. It is something like $32,000/yr.

I went to UK in the late 80s, and tuition was $3,000 a year and room/board was about the same. If you want a good example for the proposition that the world has gone completely stark raving lunatic mad, the cost of attending college is a good start......
wow, when I went there it was not very costly as I recall. Hard to remember when my Dad was doing all the paying.Lowering tuition prices would help their enrollment grow. It is something like $32,000/yr.
Also 1.6 million to NCAA to go division 1 and that is a joke plus making them wait 4 years before they can play in ncaa is stupid too. Half of that entrance fee money will probably go into Emmett’s pocket.
I paid $15 per credit hour when I was there. I think that was for two of the years and then it jumped to $30. Too long ago. Foggy memory sometimes.
