Beisner leaving Kentucky for UNC

Can’t tell if this is good or bad news, it’s kinda wierd a pro Kentucky guy is leaving UK, but congrats to him
This is no different then the countless number of transfers each year in college sports. The "grass is greener" mentality is at an all time high in all walks of life these days.
If someone offered this guy what he feels is a better chance to make a living, then it is his belief this is best for him.
But if he is good at what he does, why not try to keep him?
He couldn't just make the announcement. He made sure to get his shots in at cal. Yet he cries and moans cause Cal won't come on his show.
Wonder if he screamed “RUN” and “GO” at him all day?
Can’t blame him. The triangle is a really nice place to live. Just a couple hours drive to the beach or the blue ridge.

I have no idea how good Beisner was at his job and by all accounts he’s a good dude so best of luck to him.
However, Kentucky basketball has been widely documented to be terrible at NIL dealings and have been in Cal’s worst stretch at UK while TJ was in his role.

Cal should move to this position, tell the university he wants to keep his current contract, because we all know he'd probably KILL at a position like this.
And we can look for our next coach.
A top5 coach, partnered with Cal for the NIL/Business side of basketball would be deadly.
Exactly what he said. Granted, tj’s son attends UNC but he went into detail and insinuated multiple times that he needed a change of pace and was on call at all times of the day and Cal being too demanding played a major role in the change.That isn't at all what he said.

Shannon isn't a Vandy Grad. He graduated from Bellarmine. MJ went to Duke solely for law school. He is a Transy Grad. Ryan has said he is a former IU fan but now a UK fan. Drew is a UK grad/fan. Beisner is a UK grad and UK fan.

It's what he said. He did include tj's son in North Carolina but it was mentioned as side note. It made sure to go into full detail how hard it is to work for cal.

Matt is obviously a very bright guy, but it's really shocking to me how much he doesn't know sometimes. It's not just basic "practical" stuff like knowing the difference between a Phillips and a regular screwdriver, or not having the faintest idea where to buy crazy glue to repair his shoe when on travel. There are times when someone who should have "book smarts" like him doesn't know basic, worldly knowledge that most anyone with his level of education should know. It often reaches the point of hilarious absurdity on the air.
Anyway, that kinda sounded harsher than intended. I like his show. Also, we now have Agent Beisner exactly where we want him. 😈
Just reading the tea leaves, couple big hits lately to KSR and Jack Pilgram. Pretty widely presumed that TJ Beisner is a trusted source for KSR, now he's gone. Also presumed that Andrew Ortelli was another source for KSR/Jack, and he left this summer as well.
No matter the reason, it's a bad look. Especially after Lucas bolted to Dook. Someone mentioned this being a case of "the grass is greener". Well, the grass IS greener in the Golden Triangle. More money = easier NIL deals. Plus, if your boss is a wacko nutjob calling you all hours of the night with outlandish demands then yeah, I might consider bolting to a rival for a "reset" as well.
Some of that may be "shtick". There's no way he didn't know "shot across the bow" today. Same for the blue moon stuff last week (or week before....can't remember...slept since then.) The blue moon one kinda blew my mind; how did so many people NOT know that? I thought that was pretty common knowledge what a blue moon was.
Glad he is gone. We need to hire someone who can get the job done. He clearly could not. And, if he is running his mouth to the media, it is our gain.

If you want to say Cal is the reason then you are commending him because this guy was dead weight. Thanks Cal!
When you let the inmates run the asylum, this is what happens. Of course Cal was demanding. He wants players to get every dime at UK they can, because hardly any good-great players are willing to play for him otherwise. It's the only way he can convince them to sign on. If put UK first, then kids who can make a great impact would want to be here, and top NIL contracts wouldn't have to be waved in front of their noses.
Did you type that with a straight face? In all but one or two years, Cal has had one of the top 2 recruiting classes which goes back to before NIL. That doesn't sound like someone who can't convince kids to play for him. NIL has changed the game and we need to be proactive with it but to say Cal can't convince kids to play here is misleading at best.
