Beer to be sold at football games in 2023

The lightweight loser who thinks he can hang and chug a few beers is more likely to be an issue.
I have only encountered problems with students, at UGA and Vandy.

19/20 year olds who could barely stand/walk and had no friends to help them.

Like MB said in the press conference, they sold beer by the hundreds at every baseball game and had zero problems. Can't guarantee you there won't be any problems this fall but I have been to plenty of UC games and not seen any big issues.

As for cancel culture, the right wing looney tunes group hates Mickey Mouse, transgender beer drinkers, school teachers, Target, + probably a number of other ridiculous non issues I may have missed, Freetaxreturn will be along shortly to educate me, no doubt.

Your post makes it obvious you do care.
Not really. Just not gonna let some cancel culture clowns tell me what beer I can or can't drink in order to be "cool" like the mindless sheeple shooting their full beer cases with AR15s.
They obviously liked the beer in the first place or they wouldn't be blowing up cases of it.
Didn't start drinking it because of a dude in a dress....Not gonna stop drinking it because of a dude in a dress.

On that note, are The Chicks still canceled because of what they said about George Bush 20 years ago? Or are they canceled because they dropped Dixie from their name? Or are they back in good graces with God fearing Americans? It's so hard to keep up these days.

Seriously they are going to have to install cup holders like they do at the baseball park or there will be beer sloshed all over fans and that will cause Problems

Let the peasants have their beer.Talking about this yesterday, what brands will be served?Who gets the contract? You can bet that Bud and Bud Light will be there, but any other? Heineken? Modello? Hope its not just AB.

All they had at KPP for baseball was Bud Light, Mich Ultra and the Bud Seltzer, I would like a wider choice myself, personally prefer Coors Lite and Corona, but think the first three is all we will see this fall.

I usually don’t care one way or another if beer is sold at the other venues for UK sports. But, I do wonder about alcohol sales at the football games due to the tailgating. I’m not bashing this…just hope this doesn’t get ugly.
I won't be spending the stupid amount of money to buy a beer inside the stadium. I'm in the lot by 7:15 AM every game regardless of game time. I do my drinking before the game and use the game to clear my head.

Some of us don't care about goofy culture wars mixed with our beer. Not a fan of Trump but I wouldn't stop drinking Bud Light just because he drank it. Love a cold Bud Light on a hot day. Cancel culture is out of control.
What did Trump have anything to do with anything being discussed here? Trump doesn't drink alcohol at all, much less Bud Light. Not sure why you even needed to go there in this thread.

My only gripe is why now?? Kentucky is ALWAYS 10 years behind the rest of the country. We eventually give in and do what everyone else is doing because they are making so much more money than we are. Whether it’s sports gambling, medical Mary Jane, beer at sporting events so on and on. Why are we Always 10 years late to the party. So sad. I love this State.

Just another reason for families to stay home and enjoy the game on TV.

I remember years ago when I was in a business meeting one Monday and one of the top UL officials who was on the committee remarked “ we have got to do something about drunks at our games . My 12 year old was at the game Sat . The drunks ruined it with their foul language and spilling beer over everyone. “

also years ago my wife and I and tailgate group made the mistake of attending a UK UL football game starting in the late afternoon. The place was drunk . It was like walking through a gauntlet . Drunks yelling and spitting on us . The police laughing with them letting us know if anyone hit them we would be billy clubbed and arrested .
You couldn’t even go to the restroom without a UL fan trying to start a fight .

if that’s you guys vision of UK so be it . I’ll save about six grand and enjoy the games at home from now on. I want to stress I’m not upset or mad at anyone . Just dealing with reality .
BTW I have one or two cocktails every night . I just don’t like drunks at family events.
Hopefully, I won’t have to give up my Roundball tickets as well.
Six grand? How many tickets you buying?

I boycotted bud lite and Disney but I’m not a mindless sheep following others. Those companies do not share my values so I choose not to support them with my dollars. I couldn’t care less what others are doing. I do me and my values. I won’t shop at target. I try to alway buy American and not Chinese products. I won’t donate to NIL to pay college athletes. That’s not what NIL is. I could go on. When a large group of people say we DONT want this. That’s democracy. When the people pushing it say you WILL accept this or else that’s the problem.

My seats are on the aisle...think I'll just stand the entire game This will be fun...not!
Mine are two in from the aisle and it kinda sucks the number of times we have to get up to let people pass. Before the renovation my seats were dead center of the section. I hardly ever had to get up to let people by. I'm not one to leave my seat much at all during the entirety of the game. It's pretty rare for me.

I boycotted Bud Light years ago when I discovered the there is a whole world of Craft beers to be discovered. Too many to be wasting my money on that swill, and most certainly not at 10 bucks a pop at a football game.

To each is own brother. I’ve tried the craft beer and am not a fan. That was kinda my point. You just need to do what you like and feel is right.

The word “swill” makes me laugh.

The drunks were already drunk. Doubt this changes much there.

As for what beers they serve, who cares. I drink bud ice because it's solid and cheap. If bud light went on sale for 5 dollars for a 24 pack like it supposedly has some places I'd buy it too. I couldn't care less about what bud light did just like i didn't care about the other side telling us not to eat at chicken FIL a that one time.

That said, bud light made an extremely dumb decision based on how sales have tanked. You have to know your audience as a business. Bud Light pretty much canceled itself with just a bizarre and silly decision. A frat guy beer trying to lose its frat guy image by attracting who? I don't see many transgenders making a big uptick n sales due to the collaboration. It seems like they could have had success using some hot sorority gurl or something instead. Not my company though.
Bud Light didn’t know so many good ole boys followed a tranny on tik tok and would be offended by sending them beer. The rest of us didn’t know said person even existed but to each their own.

And so many good local breweries.

Hopefully they’ll offer a few local breweries a concession spot but probably not how that corporate contract works.

Do you not think the left has their share of looney toons also? The cancel culture runs deep on both sides, the reason a lot are calling it a UniParty.

Do you support grooming kids? That's what most of those things are actually about.

Leave the kids alone.

Also: it ain't right wing looney toons. (Is that a code for Constitution loving Americans??)

Take a look at literally any polling on these subjects. The vast majority of the American population rejects grooming by leftist creeps.

Don’t know what’s up with the in stadium beer prices. Went to the Lou Bats game the other night and draft Light in a plastic cup $10.
Against the Grain Brewery is attached to the stadium had a craft beer and a shot for $6.

I got a complete awakening on the craft beer scene when I moved to Michigan in the late 90’s. Once you start drinking real beer you can never go back.

But you can’t go back and forth during the game, right?

I used to drink stuff like Miller High Life and PBR cuz I was poor. Then I went to a bar and tried a Left Handed Brewing Milk Stout. After that I just couldn't do those cheap beers anymore. I could enjoy a bud or coors on a really hot day if I was out at a game or a show, but otherwise no thanks.
