BEER! For those who made the game, how was the beer selection, how long were the lines?

$10 for Mich ultra, bud light or the pink bud light seltzer. Mobile vendors with the big ice buckets like at baseball games.

Bring cash for them, I only found 1 that took card. And of course, the first prompt after inserting your card is a 10, 15 or 20% tip…

All the ones I saw had card readers. Extremely convenient.

I'm glad they serve it for those in that desperate need of a beer. However all sporting events beer prices are 🤮. No way should a domestic beer cost you 8-12 dollars depending on venue. All it is is a money racket. I'm not that desperate for a beer.

I don't necessarily disagree with you. But I be there wouldn't be anyone bitching at $5 beers. People complain when they are obviously being gouged. But, it goes on everywhere, it should have been expected.
So if you're being gouged, why do you buy it?

My question is this... did anyone in attendance witness examples of byob being prevented or stopped by security... can I still get in a late fall game with a flask? I've always had a Beam and Coke in hand at games.

They have you empty your pockets now. It looks easy to sneak it in, just tuck it into your pants and you should be fine.

It was dime draft in the 80's, but only early to get you in the door. O'reilly's pub had 3 for a dollar bourbon and coke in small glasses. I broke one of those tiny glasses one night. Still have the scar on my finger.
Me and my buddies would drive up in high school and never had an issue at the Dog. But if I remember correctly the deal only lasted until someone had to take a piss lol. Once somebody hit the bathroom drinks went to regular price.

The Millenium (before it was the Dame) did dime draft nights for a while in early 2000s. Saw a dude get thrown through the plate glass window at one of those. I think they stopped shortly thereafter lol.

Have you ever been to a sporting event?
I bet you paid 6 bucks for a hotdog or 8 bucks for a coke...

Don't pay for those either in rare occasions I go.

And I don't really go anymore because I'd rather just watch a ton of games on my big screen than deal with traffic and overpriced stuff and wasting all that time out.

I was on the 2nd level. Speaking from first hand experience, not all of them had card readers 😀…I’m not just making that up.

Definitely convenient either way though. Next game I’ll have cash!

You are way better off getting your buzz going at tailgate. Come in 3/4 lit, drink, nurse one thru the 1st quarter then go out at halftime, take a shot of Makers, chase with a beer then stop on way back up to grab one more for the second half. $20, you’re buzzing pretty good. Now, a beer in the Woodford Reserve area is like $7/cup, mixed drink $8-$9. It’s all relative. I used to stash a pint of Heaven Hill next to my nuts then just went down and got a coke for $2
Are you allowed to leave and renter?

I remember 50 cent beer nights in college at some random bar. The beer was cheap and in some tiny plastic cup. That has nothing to do with conversation, but it sure is a nice memory.
Used to go to JDI's(Lime & High) in the early 90s they had 10 cent beer night on Tuesdays. No cover, with a band and we'd order 50-100 beers at a time, depending the size of our group. They came in little plastic cups, probably 6 ounces. Miss those days.

I remember walking to school 3 miles one way,,, in the snow. Guess what, that was then, this is now. I hear gas used to be .99 a gallon ???? What???
In 1987, I had just gotten my driver's license and a gallon of gas at the Super America on Euclid got down to 29 cents. I remember filling up my Mustang for $5-6. Those were the days!

Three Hazy IPAs and a delta 8 gummy stand would set me up right against a MAC opponent.
Funny story about delta 8 gummies. I'm 87. I was at Hardees with my normal coffee crew complaining about not sleeping well. One of my buddies came to me a week later with some gummies that his grand kid gave him and told me that it would help me sleep. He told me to take a "whole piece". Not paying attention, the gummies were divided into 4 pieces with lines to separate them. So, I took an entire gummy after drinking some gin one night. I couldn't get out of bed to piss until 3 pm the next day. Nothing on my body worked. I slept well, very dry mouth, but I was screwed up for 18 hours. When I called my buddy, he asked me if I cut it into fours and I said no. He still gives me shit to this day.
