BEER! For those who made the game, how was the beer selection, how long were the lines?

I got a draft Yuengling for $10.

Beer lines weren’t bad at all. There were plenty of places and options. Seemed that the beer only window at the general concession stands moved very fast

I saw Bud Light, Mich Ultra, Yuengling, and Stella Artois so selection seemed pretty good. As crazy as it sounds, it was too hot for beer yesterday (at least for me). I stuck with water. Beer prices seemed to be about what you expect at a game. $8 to $12 range. Except for halftime, the lines seemed to be manageable and move fairly quickly.

$10 for Mich ultra, bud light or the pink bud light seltzer. Mobile vendors with the big ice buckets like at baseball games.

Bring cash for them, I only found 1 that took card. And of course, the first prompt after inserting your card is a 10, 15 or 20% tip…

If you don't want to pay a high mark up for beer...don't be on the AD's ass for a decade whining for beer.

You think they were going to sell it to break even, or make just a little bit of money?

As far as the tip, thing...dude those concession people work their asses off all day. People should have been tipping them all along, and especially now that they're having to do more work (the tip isn't for grabbing it out of the cooler and handing it to you it's for unloading pallets and stocking) as well as deal with drunks.

For 10 bucks a beer, the tip should be included.

I’m afraid to ask what you think a bad selection would look like. 😂

When stadiums in the past used to have bud and bud light to choose from, that selection isn’t awful with choices like Yuengling and Stella. Throw in the Bud light seltzers and everyone should have one that if they don’t necessarily like, they can accept for a 3 hour ball game. It doesn’t have the same selection as a bar but it isn’t supposed to. The selection for a stadium was pretty good. It could have been and I have seen a lot worse.

I don't necessarily disagree but go ahead and pitch that to the athletic and university brass.

"Hey, I know we were on you for a long time to sell beer, now that you're selling it go ahead and tip the vendors out of your end."

You know what I would say to that if I were an AD and inclined to be an asshole..."sure sounds good..."

Next week's game "Beer $15...tip included"

There ya go...ya got ya beers and ya got your tips included.

I dont drink but I'm sure giving the vendors 25 cents on every beer wouldn't hurt their bottom line much. What's beer run? 20 bucks a case?

People bitched before there was beer. Now people bitch at the cost or the selection. People just like to bitch.
I don't necessarily disagree with you. But I be there wouldn't be anyone bitching at $5 beers. People complain when they are obviously being gouged. But, it goes on everywhere, it should have been expected.

You rarely find $5 beers at a bar or restaurant these days but people should expect that at a stadium? You should know going into it that if soda and water aren’t $5 than neither is a beer. People mostly only complain about beer prices though for some reason.

You are way better off getting your buzz going at tailgate. Come in 3/4 lit, drink, nurse one thru the 1st quarter then go out at halftime, take a shot of Makers, chase with a beer then stop on way back up to grab one more for the second half. $20, you’re buzzing pretty good. Now, a beer in the Woodford Reserve area is like $7/cup, mixed drink $8-$9. It’s all relative. I used to stash a pint of Heaven Hill next to my nuts then just went down and got a coke for $2

It's called convienance. I get it , it's high. If you can't afford it don't buy it and that's ok. Just don't whine and bitch about it, it's optional to purchase. Hell a gallon of milk at Speedway is $6, you can buy it at Kroger for $2. Duh.
Never understood the crowd bitching about bar prices and venue prices. And tipping ? Man it is not the poor vendor wagging those heavy ass tots around that prices are so high. Inwill throw them a $1 , $2 each beer ordered.

I remember walking to school 3 miles one way,,, in the snow. Guess what, that was then, this is now. I hear gas used to be .99 a gallon ???? What???

I didn't notice any more drunken shenanigans than usual. It was tame other than one inebriated chick in my section who was getting carried out. It was early so I'm sure she was tailgating beforehand.

I remember quarter draft night at the Dog in Richmond circa 1994. Recipe for disaster/success depending on how you look at it.
It was dime draft in the 80's, but only early to get you in the door. O'reilly's pub had 3 for a dollar bourbon and coke in small glasses. I broke one of those tiny glasses one night. Still have the scar on my finger.

Reds ballgame today cost me $12 for Diet Coke and popcorn. So it’s just what you pay at a sporting event.

I worked my butt off for 40 years before I retired, I never got tips for working a desk job (nor did I ever think I should get one, in fact it never crossed my mind)....this tip BS has gotten out of control. Everybody thinks they deserve a tip, only wait staff should get tips. Now my barber has tip selection on her card app, it's just flat out ridiculous

Then don't tip. No one is making you tip.

I've got senior tickets to the Reds' games. Every day game I get to park under the stadium and don't have to walk far to really good seats. Beers are $9 for a 16oz Ultra. During a good game when it is hot, I'd pay twice that.

$10-$12 beer tends to keep consumption moderate... this is as intentional as the per unit profit, I'd say.

Always tip the barber dude...come on man. That's not a new thing. My grandpa tipped his barber, my dad tipped his barber, I tip my barber...well.

Barbers of all people should be tipped. They have to sit there and listen to people's bull sh*t all day long.

The haircut is free my man...the cost and tip are for the therapy session.

Barber's do what therapists due for a lot less and people leave looking and feeling a whole lot better.

Listening to the same ole bull shit...

"politics...weh...wife...weh weh...sports weh weh...kids these days...weh weh weh...job weh...$10 beers and tipping weh weh weh..."
