Beat KU easily, curb stomped by UT

Well I'd say all the good graces we build up from beating the hell out of Kansas is gone now that we got beat by ****ing 15 in Knoxville.

What Kind of bullcrap effort was that? I knew when they hit that second 3 to go up 23 to 17 that the game was over. We barely even tried to guard the second three.

Garbage and you watch and see how far will we drop in that AP poll. Right now I'd say the number six but after they lose to Arkansas we'll probably be at number 10.

I lost a lot of faith in this team tonight. I have them at about 30% chance of beating Arkansas.

Tonight's effort ruined about two good months of basketball and a lot of good thoughts about the tournament.

just like ky played out of their minds in Lexington. In fact, comparing the 2 games, you would have to say that ky played well above their abilities - I mean, @ 70 % from the floor! Whereas, UT played well at home and good enough to stay in most games at Lexington.

Yeah...I worry we sort of peaked and coming down to earth as a team (along with all the injuries). I wonder if the same occurred on the PJ/Herro/Keldon team...we were playing out of our minds in January and then all the injuries hit and we barely beat Wofford, got lucky to win vs. Houston and sucked in losing to Auburn in elite 8.

Feels like something like that is happening this year as well.

UK plays Alabama this Saturday at home, not at Arkansas. I mistakenly put we play LSU first at home this Saturday and then Bama at home so I am not perfect there either.

We also beat UT by 28...and we lost by 13 there. I am sure if we play in the SEC Tourney we will win a closer game on a neutral court. Most teams have a bad loss by double digits...it happens unfortunately and can be a wake up call as it was for UT after they lost to UK by 28.

I just looked and 7/10 teams in the top 10 have a double digit loss (at least one). Auburn (worst loss by 6 points), Gonzaga (lost a game by 9) and Duke (worst loss only by 5 points) are the 3 exceptions to this.

Brooks need to play like he played at Kansas for UK to win a title. And, obviously you can't have multiple starters with an off-night like Tennessee or this team is painful.

I look at it that Tennessee is not a good matchup. Quick guards, and a quick big. We shot out of our mind in Lexington but gave up almost 80 points. We shoot our normal % against them, we probably lose that one too.

last night, we weren’t smart with the ball, didn’t take good shots and UT adjusted defensively from the first matchup. Have to come back Saturday and we probably can’t drop more than one game or we’re going to start watching our seed line slip in the NCAA tourney. This next stretch of games is pivotal and we have to get healthy too.

some people are putting more into the ku win then they should. even the media puckered and they rarely do for kentucky under cal. we are what we are. a 21-5 team in a good conference. we’ll probably seed higher because of that. with 7 losses and no conference chip we’ll probably still be a 3 seed. any other year it’d be 4+. a lot opportunities left. we won’t fall below 20 imo no matter what, and we could still finish in the top 4. it’s too early folks. most teams had a mid season slip up or two. better now than later.

Tennessee is a good team and they were firing on all cylinders. Halfway through the first half you could simply tell it was not Kentucky's night. 50/50 balls were going Tenn's way. Our guys just never seemed dialed in. Isn't the end of the world. It's a humbling loss to a team capable of making the Final Four. Surprised how many people on here have hit the panic button. People also need to acknowledge the obvious...TN is a good team. They have won 8/9 since UK beat them down and that one loss was a 1 point defeat on the road at Texas. Teams can respond to getting "curb stopped" and end up being better for it down the stretch.
