Stoops took a big fat L this talking season with deciding to make a scene about the “basketball school” comments and then you had the “sunglasses” stuff.

While I agree that we are normally the better team, Beamer had every right to clap back at Stoops. Porky had no reason to call him out in media days. Then tried to deny he was talking about him. If you're gonna talk shit, at least stand behind it when you're called out.

Both our big sport coaches having taking an L talking smack and not backing it up. Calipari has about a 3 year run of it dating back to the AU choke job in the 2019 elite 8 game.

But, coaches will do anything to get an edge. SC is still an average to bad program and tonight's game did nothing to change my mind on that.

SC won for the second time in 10 years and it took our QB being out to make it happen. It's almost unbelievable that scenario produced such beer muscles for an entire program

It absolutely was directed at Beamer. When he said it, I thought it was a hugh mistake and he had no business saying it. Nothing good could come from doing it. It had nothing to do with SC winning the game, but it was a hugh blunder. The SC players enjoyed it and I am sure recruits like it.

I agree with you. Our offensive line is an historically weak one. I do not know if it is the coaching or the lack of SEC-level talent, but our opponents clearly know it is a major weakness and are exploiting it. All we can do now is hope they can regroup as a unit, re-focus, improve and move on. There really is no other choice ...
Unless Stoops specifically mentioned Beamer or USCjr by name, which he didn’t do, it was a more generalized statement about not being a gimmicky coach and building a solid foundation. In the end I could care less. It wasn’t SC that beat UK yesterday, it was themselves, injuries, poor OL and SP teams play. Not some goofball trying to pull a “Stoops” and play with a chip on his shoulder.

Cal is the epitome of mediocrity. Second highest paid coach in college basketball and has has done less than more than anyone. But he gets them to the pros and that’s what’s important right?

If having a RG out makes you feel any better for how badly Kentucky got beaten on the line of scrimmage against a lesser program, go ahead. SC had a starting safety, corner, linebacker, DT, and DE out and still blanketed the entire offense all night. For that matter, UK had little to no injuries on defense and still got pushed around by a Gamecock O-line that's struggled to get any push this season up till now.
Yeah, having Levis would've made it a much closer game. But that wouldn't have changed how the lines got manhandled, which was the real story in SC's win. And the game wasn't as close as the score indicated.

Coach said something in follow-up about things he himself did early being what he was referencing. No one really bought it, but seems to me there are some pretty goofy photos of Stoops our there. Beamer is such a tool that once it was out there and spun as a slight against him, he was never gonna be gracious after an explanation. He just figured he'd take the news cycle for an attention ride.
Kentucky fans you gotta get a grip. Last night wasn’t close and frankly Carolina left 10-14 points off the board in the first half so the score likely would’ve been much worse. Kentucky was missing some guys well so were we. Half the defense was out for us and I don’t recall your fans giving a damn last year when our starting quarterback was playing with a broken freaking foot. Take the loss like a man and admit the better team won.
We had at least three defensive starters out too that noone is talking about. Know why? Noone cares about sc. SC is just another win on the schedule for us. Go back to celebrating your Superbowl.
