Lol we have a similar experience……
It depends how back you want to go …..every generation has those reference games , where the pain lingers for years…..
The game in College Park , MD vs Texas Western was what hunted a lot of folks and then i heard stories about UCLA one. A friend of mine has a tape from his dad from the Duke win in 78. When I was 5 got to watch that one I thought Kentucky was going to win another one… yes , 84 was a painful year for 9 years me having high expectations….
But you learn not to have expectations until it sucks you back right in,,, and you start believing again…. Just to lose again.. so you learn to enjoy the process and cherish those 5 that were lucky enough to win a title… until the next one….. hopefully Pope.
