BBN climate on social media?

Tennessee starts 3 fifth years seniors and the remainder of those who play any meaningful minutes are at least Juniors. Only Awaka was a sophomore and importantly not a single Freshman played. On the other hand we play two fifth year seniors , two sophomores , and the remainder are true Freshman. Almost all of our scoring (with exception of Reeves) comes from our Freshman guards.

The Tennessee model is what we see at UNC and from the recent final four teams. And it is what we will see this year as well. Tennessee is a final four team. Auburn is a final 4 team. Cal's model no longer works.

He could have had more experienced players from the portal but did not want to chase off any diaper dandies like Bradshaw or Edwards or DJ. And yet none of them are really performing to expectations in 2023 and all will be off to the NBA by June. And we will start again with mostly Freshmen and expect a different outcome?

Either Cal must adopt a different philosophy in team construction or he must retire and let someone else take over.
This post tells it like it is. It leaves out the point that Cal can’t coach. Sure seems like he can’t. But Cal’s biggest problem ( our biggest problem) is that he continues to rely on Freshmen so he can get 5*’s to the NBA. He’s not coaching for UK’s success but for his “kids” NBA success. It really stinks.

#1 reason? Parity. Parity in college basketball is higher than ever. Anyone can lose on almost any night.

Other than that it’s injuries and kids being kids, making mistakes, losing focus. Most of these guards never had to learn to play defense but fans expect them to understand it all and execute consistently but that takes time. Missed FTs, unforced turnovers etc

All of which takes us back to parity. You can’t afford to slip too much in any game because every school has good shooters and athletes who can beat you. Look at essentially every team in the top ten, losses all over to teams they should beat.
Hey Bennies. It’s not Cals fault. It’s just parity. It’s ok to lose. This is from FB.

I’m telling you all there’s some STAUNCH Cal cultists left.
