Battle in Seattle game vs Gonzaga.

I ain't gonna lie I was more worried about the Zags game in Seattle then the dUKe game in Catlanta. I made a thread preseason about all the players they brought back and then they killed Baylor to start off the season. If we beat them in Seattle we deserve to be #1 with a bullet. I think Clemson will be tough at home but we have a better team and coach.

Clemson's center looks like he'd get winded before the first media timeout. I'm a big ol boy, so I know a fellow cheeseburger killer.

I think it will come down to how deep Gonzaga is.

How deep are they against a team that can easily keep three-to-four high-level perimeter assassins on the floor all night, and that happens to be leading the entire country in assists. (Which means guarding us requires a LOT of leg work for a LONG time.)

Not just how deep are they on paper because that's a different thing. Ask Jon Scheyer.

Is this considered a home game for the Zags or is it considered a neutral court with tickets split down the middle?
It’s neutral site as it’s 4 hours from the Gonzaga campus. Tickets aren’t split down the middle though. It’s a distribution like you would see when we played Seton Hall in NYC. Some seats reserved for specific team, but a majority first come-first served.

I'm by no means saying we can't beat the Zags because we can. I just noticed on the schedule when it came out even though we had dUKe the Zags game appeared to be tougher. Then I started looking up the team and noticed they brought back basically the top 4 starters, 4 key reserve's and a couple good left coast xfers.

It's gonna be a great game with 2 teams that go legit 9-10 deep and I gotta think Zags don't play in Seattle very often just like us.

Gonzaga is 280 miles from Seattle so it's not like their back yard. Going to be a tough game, no doubt about that. Sign me up.

Go Cats!!

So what kind of bbn crowd should we expect? Atleast 50%?

I read that Gonzaga is in 90th percentile in pick&roll proficiency. Will be a good test and preparation for the conference & ncaa tournament .
It’s comforting to know they will be scouted .

Zags will most likely be favored but one thing I do know, UK WILL be prepared. I have faith Pope will have watched tape and plan accordingly.

Should be a close game. Got to give the Zags the edge with it being in their home state. No shame if we lose to a great team in their backyard.
