If some of you remember the Cardinal basketball guys when scheduling our game with them claimed they wanted it played earlier in December because of scheduling conflicts and we obliged. IMO with Cal having a very young team almost every year this is a mistake. Now Cal has a very good record against Ricky 3 stacks but this game should be played after the X-mas break when Cal has a couple weeks of no time limit in the gym? I realize that I probably place too much importance on this game but with everything going on in Dec. like college football and pro football the Ky.vs Lville basketball game would garner more attention in early Jan. or even mid Jan. ?

The game should be played in prime time, on national TV, preferably CBS. Last year, it was Christmas week, on Wednesday night, not the best slot as it was during bowl games.

And "early January" (at least until like the second Monday in January, when the CFP title game is), it doesn't have the spotlight. UK also already has the Big 12/SEC challenge in the middle of conference play in January, so doubt they take another weekend off for a non-conference game.

I'd love to see it on December 23rd in prime time on Saturday.

The game was actually moved to a weekday to get MORE coverage. You are kidding yourself if the country cares about a College Basketball game in December. Depending when in December, a weekend game would compete with end of season College Football games and Pro game football games. It just is what it is.

I would like to see a "Gameday" on ESPN at Rupp for the Louisville game.

Isn't the deal, when the game is in Lexington, CBS carries it. Which means a Saturday national broadcast.

When the game is at Louisville, ESPN has it, which can mean either a Saturday or a weeknight game.

It's almost always the Saturday between Christmas and New Years, right? This past season, there was no Saturday between the two holidays, so it ended up being on a week day.
