As was expected, we looked our worst in the 1st half when UT pushed all the way out to the hash and put extreme pressure on all our perimeter players. We had no answer and turned the ball over multiple times.

And then for some reason he went away from it.

Strange.

Tennessee played better when Zeigler wasn't in the game
This is true. And that points to the phenomenon that I've long observed in basketball. Teams that are missing a key player or are perceived to be the major underdog find a way to step up.

Even playing pickup teams on Saturdays we'll sometimes play 4 on 5, and the team with less players almost ALWAYS wins.

It's not that the underdog team just plays harder, but they also play free-er and without fear.

I found that very strange as well. Also, attempting 45 three pointers; considering their success on the inside. They big men had converted or been fouled when just attempting to get in the paint. Particularly toward the end when it was obvious the refs would've given them the calls needed.

Agree completely. Insane strategy on their part. Our defense DID help with this...and they don't have a lot of good ballhandlers. But Barnes owes UT fans an explanation for that loss. A couple key decisions and that game goes a lot differently.

Agree. Pope really flipped it up 2nd half. Amari bringing the ball up immediately getting to a wing with Amari often going low threw UT & Barnes for a loop. I rewatched the 2nd half twice and it was flowing well. The last 5 minutes got a little clunky but UT was getting away with being way more physical.
