Just curious about your opinof how good Auburn is? The SEC is stout and they are rolling everyone. Are they historically good or just top shelf this year? Broome seems pretty dam good but if you watch he is pretty mouthy everywhere he goes. I prefer to speak with play. Anyways when they come to town it’ll be an epic battle of 2 blue bloods.

Auburn is the best team in the country this year but a long way from being called a Blueblood, in any context. That said, if they play like they did yesterday, they are way ahead of 2nd place in the country...not just sec. Auburn was phenomenal yesterday.

They look historically good this year but history will judge them by whether or not they win a national championship.

Ole Miss looked very good and lost to them. I hope we catch Ole Miss in a let down.

Thanks Pal we are on the way

I enjoy reading yalls board and will tell you we are no where near a blue blood. Now has our program ever been where it is now not really. Maybe during the Barkley years but Im definitely enjoying the pearl years. If we don't win a championship with this team we may never win one. We were definitely good enough in 2019 but I think overall this squad is just as good or maybe a little bit better than that final four squad

Since 2017 Auburn has been elite & the kids think we are a blue blood

Just remember, we went 38-0 and didn't win a championship

Auburn is not even in the discussion of blue bloods.

They are very good this year.

They were very good in ‘19. Got a very bad call against them in the FF or they probably win the title that year.
Great teams don't lose with a single bad call. The 96 team won by 20+ points per game, iirc. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Auburn a blueblood? 🤣 Historically Auburn, Georgia, and Ole Miss are the 3 worst programs in the SEC all-time. Let's be real here.

That doesn't change that they have a helluva team now and Pearl has done a tremendous job down on the Plains. I certainly have them pegged to make a run at the Final Four this year.

They're good now and they were good when they had Barkley and the Rifleman but other than that their history is pretty mediocre.

So a BBQ is as bad as you have ever seen cheating? I got news for you, UK has been doing way more than that for the last 25 years. You think UK players never got a benefit? SMH
You think the BBQ is the only thing he’s ever done to cut line ? SMDH.

Ok name the other things he was found guilty of. If you can’t name anything the NCAA found him then admit it’s your hatred and conspiracies that makes you hate him. SMDHT

Did you watch them yesterday? Did you watch them kill teams without a possible POY? They are for real. Don't kid yourself. The good news is, most are gone after this season.
Yeah I have seen them which is why I started a thread. However come talk to me when they are up by 40+ on a team at the half and score 86 IN THE FIRST HALF, then we will talk about how good they are compared to my beloved 96 CATS. They are good but absolutely positively no Contest they would get their a$$ waxed by 96 team.

I love pope and glad he’s here but I know we went huge head hunting for a coach like Hurley but I wanted Pearl. That energy and passion he has, would have killed it here. I know he had issues ncaa wise but heard Matt say he wasn’t even on the list so my question is this……why not??? My goodness, this higher than thou complex is a little annoying. Yes, do your research but the man can coach so why not atleast gage the interest???

Auburn is the best team I’ve seen so far this year. Lots of depth and balance, and they’ve managed to avoid getting tripped up by these random road games that even other presumed contenders have struggled with. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll win a championship because the tournament is a pretty fluky way to decide that, but it’s definitely appropriate for their fans to feel like they’ve got a real shot at one.

Auburn is good this year. However, they have been very lucky in many games: Houston, ISU, TN.

I would have been impressed if they beat Duke in Cameroon. I will be impressed if they can keep winning when they have face tougher opponents: Florida, Bama, Kentucky , A&am, etc.
