Auburn missed a LOT of open shots….

Our team is way more talented than Auburn or anyone else in our conference in my opinion. If we improve defensively we can beat anyone. The problem is we’re a young team and can lose to anyone as well. This win hopefully gives them a confidence boost and they build off of it.

…….that being said, Cal made a few good adjustments tonight.

Let’s build on this win.
We had our best defensive start of the year and set the tone for a lot of their misses. DJ stood out, and so did Adou. All were outstanding, but we will only get close to a championship -- and this team can certainly compete for one -- if we defend and rebound like that. Without Tre especially, THAT was one hell of a win.

Yet they still had more 6 more FTA, 7 less fouls, home court advantage, and apparently Bruce Pearl can go off on refs with impunity while Cal gets a warning for stepping outside of the box.

I'll care about their misses when people give us a pass on our bad shooting nights. As far as I'm concerned, we held a top 25 offense to under 60.

I realize UK has not been good defensively until recently. That said, some teams have made shots that they haven't all year against UK. Dudes that are 20 percent shoot 5/7 from three. Averages need to kick in.

Good win for us. We have to keep in mind that the opposing team shot 30% from the field and 18% from 3 point land. Our team should get wins like this on a regular. There shouldn't ever be a time we walk into somewhere 8 pt dogs to a team named Auburn.
Like I said Good win, I hope we build on this. We will see in time. Cannot forget the 3 straight losses at home, etc. Things need to KEEP GETTING BETTER and not regress. We shall see... we have a mix of youth AND vets on this team so we can't keep using the lame excuse "we are young". LET'S GO.
