^ I get the joke, but do people keep forgetting Dak Prescott? He has been the consensus best pick as top QB in the SEC by everyone that matters. I've seen Johnson listed in the top 3, which was absurd. There are many other guys who have experience more deserving.
I think at this point AU needs to mix it up and play another QB in this game. Johnson may improve, but I think at some point you have to consider the fact that Johnson has mental issues and/or does not have the physical tools needed to be a SEC starting QB.
AU may fix everything and win the SEC, but right now it is hard to see that happening.

I don't see any Auburn unit that looks good. The hype surrounding Auburn reminds me of the hype surrounding South Carolina last season...
Do u think auburn fans are having a meltdown over Jacksonville state like we did against a far superior opponent in UL Lafayette?
100% yes they are. They can see that JJ is not the real deal at present, and the D still has some serious issues at times.
Auburn is ranked 6th and projected by some to make playoffs, Jacksonville St is a FCS school-- if we were in Auburns shoes right now, this board would be in a meltdown mode by epic proportions.
This board melted down for only winning by a TD against a sun-belt team that won their conference for the past 2 seasons, despite being ahead by 23 earlier in the game. We would definitely melt over this.

You guys made my point. This fan base severely overreacted to letting off the gas against a good UL Lafayette team...
We really don't know if it was a severe overreaction yet. If UK is 2-2 or better at the end of September...then yeah, it was. If UK is 1-3 and 0-3 in the SEC...then maybe those over-reacting people were not so far off.
4 for 36 yards. Jax St averaging 4.3 per carry with 130 yards on ground with 11:43 to go and game tied 13-13.
There was a clear holding call missed on the TD Auburn scored on..
Jacksonville ST has clearly looked like the better team for the entire game.. If they would stop trying to throw the 20 yard pass near the red zone and stick with what got them there.. the run.. then it would be big time trouble for Auburn right now.

this is what i was thinking might happen for auburn this year. they were relying on some transfers, jucos, and freshman to take them from top 30ish to top 10 and it doesn't always work like that. they are looking more and more like a middle of the pack sec team and probably behind msu, ole miss, uga, utee, arky, and maybe lsu and a&m too.... im not writing us off for winning that match up later this fall now either. they will get better but some of these guys just aren't as good as they look on paper.
It is amazing how many so called "experts" missed on this guy. I admit I thought he would do well because of the system if nothing else.
