I just arrived back from Auburn and it was a very exciting game, hated to lose it but I want to say hats off the the Auburn fans, we were treated with he utmost respect we had at least 20 different fans to come up and say welcome to Auburn before the game and they chatted with us all through the game and even one woman hugged my neck and apologized for being so excited but said it isn't often we beat Kentucky. I think as Kentucky fans we need to welcome in opposing fans to Rupp I don't get to go often and maybe they do. The fans at Ole Miss and now Auburn are very hospitable, I have been to places that treated me like I had leprosy for wearing the Blue. I also wanted to comment on the person who controlled the scorebaord they were very imaginative and had some great skits on during timeouts and had the crowd worked into a frenzy by the end of the game. I guess the only time I have ever walked away from a loss with a good feeling.

I have no problem with them being excited, I would expect that as much as us being excited with a football win over them. Congrats to their team and fans, they out played our team. Auburn and Alabama fans as a whole usually show respect.

Well maybe I worded it wrong but they had Otis Redding on there singing "Come On now". and I guess maybe one of those things you have to be there to appreciate, they also had this chicken dance thing going and the little kids really put on a show very funny.

Since their basketball program is sub par run by an ex NCAA scofflaw they need something to amuse themselves..Auburn Basketball...non winners since 1933..Rupp said I would rather be a hated winner than a beloved loser..

I would say you will probably get your wish

That's cool. Good to hear. If IU had done that to us this year I can only imagine how much worse they would be than they were in 2011. LOL

Yes I have been trying to make a SEC away arena tour one a year and I will say other than Miss St and once at Georgia its been good the State game was the one we won at the end with Cousins holding the phone up to his ear and the crowd got mean and we didn't have a good experience there, Arkansas would have been that way to had they not won in the last minute when Terrence Jones was a frosh, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Auburn treated us like family, Vanderbilt fans are a little hard to deal with.

Auburn has good fans & good people, as does Alabama.

The truth is, and this isn't groundbreaking news, they care about football. Basketball is something to enjoy & pass the time.

Be nice to Vandy, they may be your next Dr, Phy Assisatant, or Nurse Pract......hahahhaah

To all you good Auburn fans, kudos for hiring Brucie da Man.

To the rest, 1-18 and Roll Tide.

Poor effort usc fan, try again. Rupp is one of the classiest venues you'll ever play in. The Colonial Center? Not so much. Ask me how I know.

This. I worked games at Rupp for 30 years, and opposing fans have always been treated with the utmost respect, even UL fans.

Been to UA & AU for #'s of games. Always enjoyable! Can't say that about LSU for multiple visits.
I don't know if that is a Louisiana sports venue thing or what since I haven't experienced it, on the whole, in other situations while in LA. Being in the Navy for 20+ years I saw my Bengals whenever they came near to where I was stationed and I have to say New Orleans was the worst with Atlanta being a close second; and this is back when the Bengals' were, shall we say, not very competitive.

Dating an Auburn girl. They seem to be good people for the most part. Just damn lucky in football.
