I don't know why anyone would bash the current guys. To me they are doing the best they can with the talent they have and the fact they have been together as a team for 4 months.
Disagree with OP. These kids are getting paid. You don't like how they're playing, bash away, they're still getting money.
Matt belittles our players all the time. I believe that Matt Jones hurts the program more than he helps it.
I know right. I'm amazed at how many people in this world hate seeing successful people so much that they'll make stuff up to justify their hate.
I listen to KSR every day, Matt is extremely fair, I've not heard him say anything that is even close to player bashing. If a guy isn't good enough, it's okay to respectfully state that. It's the truth, but Matt doesn’t even do that.
Fans that don't want to hear criticism of the program pile on Matt.
Its funny to me, they blame him for the bad state of UK basketball (whatever that is) and think that UK does well in spite of his constant attempts to bring the program down.
Its almost Jerry Tipton levels. I am not a Jones Fan boy by any stretch but the guy has been the most fair in his criticism, both pro and con than he has ever been. His knock under Tubby was he'd NEVER criticize and would bag on the fans that did - ostensibly because he was trying to build a brand, business and relationship with UK.
Seems like once KSR sold, he was free to see both sides of the coin without UK administration approval ahead of time.
