"FANS"!
It is beyond shameful the amount of piling on and damned-near slanderous language that our "fans" are capable of.
Calling out a young man, and in many cases kids, as being "heartless" or "busts" is misguided and extremely low-class.
There is absolutely no doubt that each and every player on this, and every team, has more riding on these games than any 50 fans combined. Our self-importance is staggering at times, particularly after a bad loss.
If some of us would take the time to watch our players effort, especially our front court, it would become obvious that the effort is always present but VERY often misguided. They are athletes instead of basketball players and when they play they go all in no matter if it is chasing down a loose ball or rebounding a missed shot. They dont have situational awareness as it pertains to the game. Its one speed and one speed only, whether it means a foul or turnover.
I'm afraid its going to be a long one, but its uncalled-for to question any one of these guys in regard to heart. I think Cawood and Mr. Wildcat would agree.
