As usual 4 to 5 plays made the difference

The blown coverage(2), the drop by Robinson, the pick down in the red zone, the shanked punt. All crucial plays for a team whose margin for error is so thin it’s transparent. I understood the game plan but when things went sour we didn’t, can’t or won’t adjust. Been Stoops MO since he’s been here. I’m proud of what he’s done here but this game got out of hand when it didn’t have to.

We lost by 38. Hard to say to a handful of plays made the difference. I think those plays were the difference in it being a somewhat competitive game versus the demolition that it was.

Yep except for those "4-5 plays" this was an evenly matched dog fight. 😂😂😂 How do some of you people come up with this stuff?

That Robnson drop was a huge turning point. Could’ve made it a tie game pr been one point behind.

Then the Key mishap. But that was just a great defensive play. After that, it was all down hill for us.

Maybe I am following your logic; ie. any hopes to beat a superior team:

(better coached, better schemed)

in a hostile environment, it's best NOT to lose any momentum by playing poorly?!

Especially, when your OC didn't really develop any passing plays more than 5 yards down-field. Hell, Mumme and Couch could draw in the dirt 10-20 yard plays during the game....

p.s. the whiffed punt was a nice touch.... let's run down to get a tackle, oh wait.. why am I standing here? Maybe to block first?!

Mother F...

Okay, another...

Let's see... an All-American WR running down the sidelines with a linebacker, while the other receiver is covered by a D-back...

AND, we've seen this drill on tape how many times for a UT touchdown?

I:
#1 Let the linebacker handle it even though he's 2 steps behind

or

#2 Help the D-back because maybe Hooker will choose to throw into double coverage (and not see the wide open All-American).

TWICE!!

I agree completely about that those plays transformed the game. I would add Brown not going down inbounds when we were trying to run out clock in 1st half allowed TN to score the TD that made it a 3 score game. If we go in at halftime down 2 scores with getting the ball out of the half, if we score TD on that possession, then it’s a ball game. Going in at half down 3 scores, game was essentially over.

On the 2 blown coverages, I give TN O as much credit as bad D. On both those plays, TN showed a route in front of our safety who bit on that route instead of playing the deep outside sideline route. The O scheme forced our safety to make a decision and he chose what his eyes saw versus what his responsibilities dictated. Bad play by him but give O credit for forcing him into a bad decision.

The pick in red zone was just bad luck. Good throw but the TN hit on Key knocked the ball loose. 9 times out of 10 that ball falls to ground. In this case, it pops up in the air for an INT.

The shanked punt - Completely 100% on us. How we allow a defender to come straight up the middle untouched toward the punter is mind blowing. I don’t know how the punt wasn’t blocked.

Who runs a double slant against a zone I’ll tell you who our dumbass OC who runs the ball with 8-9 in the box you guesses it our OC the only possession where he mixed it up and threw the ball some on first down was the drive we scored on you are down 27-6 you come out to start the 3rd Q with a shovel pass LOL OC is absolutely pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!

That route concept worked all season and works every time if/when the wr recognizes zone and sits down. Wr can't just run through vs a zone.

This year we've been much better at this. It all fell apart for whatever reason

Offensive Philosophy...Switch coaching staffs , UK wins. Stoops would grind puke orange offense to a halt.
