Aroldis Chapman took a line drive right to the face tonight

Wondered if anyone here might be discussing this. Scary stuff. Pitcher's worst nightmare. Been happening a lot in recent years. Wonder if we might yet see pitcher's wearing some sort of mask, at least as optional gear. I know I sure wouldn't want to take a line drive to the face. Probably kill me. Fact is, square on the nose and push it back into the brain and it could kill anyone.

Mild concussion, surgery, 6-8 week recovery. Expected to make a full recovery. Probably won't pitch until 1/3 of the season over, if then.

Good news long term on Chapman. But . . . what do the Reds do now for a closer in the short run?

He will never be the same! That blow will always be in the back of his mind.
