i think jimmy dykes actually described well how alabama does it. i’ve been trying to figure how they do it for several years now. we know the 3’s or layups part, but it’s this…. and he said it, and if you watch it it’s happening constantly. happened 3 straight possessions even with an ark score. they push the ball every time, and generally get a shot off within 10 seconds. when they miss they get the offensive rebound constantly. i think he’s right. by the time their forwards get down court they are essentially crashing the glass coming down hill, while the defense isn’t even a set, but in the process of trying. so they don’t allow you to set your defense for large portions of the game.
