Bingo, I believe Cal has changed his game. Boogie or DJ will have the ball, Davis is the new Donte Allen waiting to shoot when passed the ball and he is standing in one place, not asking for the ball.
And on the post game interview the Illinois coach says “we just play modern day basketball “ . lol

I watched every second of this game and literally, if you didn't, it's more intolerable than you could ever imagine.

This is a good question. Started almost every game as a freshman at UK while 2 NBA lottery picks sat the bench. He's started all 7 games at Arkansas as well. Cal has personal ties to him through his dad, Dajuan Wanger, who played for Cal at Memphis. He obviously can't see clearly when it comes to DJ.
That Arkansas offense is the old Kentucky offense when Cal first arrived, and back in 2009 to about 2015, it worked. But things began to change and Cal didn't change with it. He's comfortable with it and must feel more control with that system. He tried changing the last 2 years with John Welch helping him, but he left UK and Welch went back California and the old offense is back.
So, it's the same issues as we all saw under Cal. He has as much or more talent as anyone in college basketball, but he has an antiquated offense that struggles to keep up. I expect the same result for Arkansas as UK has had the last 3 seasons, maybe not as good as last season. They'll win some games but when postseason hits, they'll struggle in big games.
I hear he's only 17.
A friend and I both think he is better than Big Z.

Illinois outscored them on threes by 30 points; Arky shot okay from 2 point range but not enough to make up the difference. Making 5 threes in a game is a poor recipe for success in the modern game.
