Arizona's Ray Smith out for the year

Not good at all. He just recovered from his other acl not long ago, tough luck. If any team is equipped to handle such a devastating loss it's probably Arizona though. They're overloaded at the 1-3, before I heard this I was sure there would be either a mid season transfer or one after the season.

Naah, dejuan Blair got drafted with NO acls, period. If this kid recover s and is good enough they will get him

Bad sign. Absolute stud before the problems started. Hope he can come back.

I hate these injuries. They totally deflate everything around a program, and they cripple the player's hopes.

On a related note, If Poythress makes an NBA roster next year, I guarantee you Calipari won't shut up about it until the day he dies. Cal probably wants that kid to get drafted worse than he wanted any kid to go overall #1. I feel the same way. After Poythress' injury, it would probably be my favorite draft-day moment.

You're right!! I'm surprised he hasn't jubilantly tweeted about Aaron making an NBA roster yet! Lol And he will be keeping an eye on Andrew in Memphis....gotta keep his streak of putting every Top 50 kid to commit to him out of high school at UK on an NBA roster alive!!!

Hate it for this kid. I like Zona as a potential Final Four sleeper. Miller is a good coach, they are due to get there.

They should still have enough talent. They are deep on the wings. Trier, York, Pitts, and Allen are all going to be a solid rotation at the 2-3. They are in pretty good shape inside too, with Zeus, Anderson, Ristic, and Comanche. The biggest question mark is replacing McConnel at the point. Sophomore Jackson-Cartwright probably gets first crack at it, but he didn't do much last year. Simon is a talented Freshman, but probably isn't ready to run the show. They might use Trier at the point, though he is more of a scorer, and play York and Pitts on the wings, with Anderson and Tarczewski inside. That may be their best lineup.
