Arizona State assistants Chris Hawkins, Prentice Gill placed on administrative leave

Arizona State is under NCAA investigation for recruiting violations that took place during the COVID-19 pandemic, when there was a dead period in recruiting. Sun Devils tight ends coach Adam Breneman was placed on administrative leave in July, and another two reportedly joined him. Defensive backs coach Chris Hawkins and wide receivers coach Prentice Gill are on administrative leave, Yahoo Sports' Pete Thamel reported and SunDevilSource's Chris Karpman confirmed Monday. As a result, head coach Herm Edwards will have to shuffle the staff.
